Some of it is OK. Perry doesn’t really seem psyched to be there, and definitely sounds under the influence of pharmaceuticals. It’s low energy, a bit off, but not as lazy or off as we’ve heard him. He sounds adequate on some parts and a few entire songs.

He's struggling to hit those high notes in standard tuning.. must be tough at his age, as we get older our voices become naturally lower. Hence the drop tuning previously.

Luckily he has Etty onstage to help him with the high notes

Back in the day, I thought songs like “Classic Girl” and “I Would For You” were beautiful works of art and testament to the powerful muse that Casey Niccoli was on Perry.

Fast forward 30some years. Etty being heavily inserted in everything Perry does and onstage for both Jane’s shows and Porno for Pyros shows (I haven’t watched clips yet…she’s singing backup?!) just shows how much of a codependent simp Perry is and likely always was. It’s super weird. I challenge anyone to name one other wife that is this involved in a rockstar’s career to such an extent. At least Sharon has enough sense to stay the fuck off the stage and let Ozzy be Ozzy. Given the context/nature of Perry losing his mother, Freud would have a field day with this.

1st night of tour. You'd hope for some good vibes, smiles, and high energy. Maybe Perry was ill. Who knows. But those YouTube clips are pretty depressing. Hopefully they make it to NY!

Pete and Perk were great. Mike can’t stand. Perry will hopefully be less…whatever he was.

The band was great. Even Watt seated was great. Far less elegant than Lenoble, but the power was similar. Plus he hit the foil power note in Pets that ML ignored (the little things ). He was rockin his chair for sure. Pete was outstanding (he's underrated) and Perk was Perk. I couldn't help but notice less punch in the sound. I think he's playing a 20 inch kick and playing with rods or timbal sticks for much of the show on this tour. Arty mentioned she giggled with Etty...I did too. Beyond the voice thing, the woman can't keep time. Mercifully, she was stationed like a potted plant for the show's entirety. New keyboardist this time around. Her name is Robin Hatch...she's a player for hire from Toronto. They played Little Me which I loved. As for PF, I just watched really depressed with the reality that that 1.0 guy didn't age; he's died.

So as I was standing there trying my best to angle out all the middle aged drunkin OC pier rats from obstructing my view, I heard these two guys ragging on Cheney. I'm thinking these guys have to be on the board, so I interrupted them (they weren't) and we started chattin music. Turns out one of the guys knew perk and played bass on The Mint Zep tribute show I went to a few weeks back. Great player

Im going to the Bensalem/Philly show. I’ll still get to see Watt play bass and that’s a win regardless of how PF sounds

I scoped their instagram. I think they switch instruments because in one photo he was holding a bass, but in another there was a girl playing bass.

Also, one photo specifically says "HEZ".... so.... it's Hezron. That's all I can determine. Otherwise everyone in that band just kind of looks like they stay up all night smoking pot and not bathing, and generally attempting to look exactly the same.

This is a little dramatic. You can’t compare Perry seemingly being out of it for one show to Dave being back on heroin and out of commission for years.

I’ll worry a lot more if footage from tonight paint a similar picture from Perry. But who knows? Maybe he has been on anxiety meds and had a little too much wine.
