I was pretty underwhelmed. Those clips hid more of the bad and accentuated the good (where possible) for PF. He seemed exhausted and old and senile, or mildly medicated.

Perry sounds like he has marbles in his mouth . Hopefully this is just a bad recording.

He's struggling to hit those high notes in standard tuning.. must be tough at his age, as we get older our voices become naturally lower. Hence the drop tuning previously.

...OK, Martytne wasn't there; Etty posted an old live vid (with Martyne) instead of one from last night---meaning, even they know it sounds like shite.

Really disheartening... the lights are weak; no up front energy except Pete (who shines on Tahitian Moon!)

something seems up with Perry lately.. the interview where he starts crying being one, and now this performance he seems like his mind is elsewhere completely .. and not in a good way either.

Now I'm feeling pretty good about them not scheduling a show anywhere near me.

I'll look back on the two times I did see them in 92 and 93 fondly, when Perry was still cool and Etty wasn't in the band.

It was one show. I’ll give it a few before getting too judgmental.

I’m caught up on the better footage that’s surfaced now. This is definitely really bizarre. I immediately thought of Chris Cornell or Scott Weiland - sounds like he might have been on benzos. I hate to speculate but it’s kind of impossible not to. There are a lot of instances where there’s a weird lag between him and the band. Hope this is just a fluke.

1st night of tour. You'd hope for some good vibes, smiles, and high energy. Maybe Perry was ill. Who knows. But those YouTube clips are pretty depressing. Hopefully they make it to NY!

Yep, first night. Trying not to be a "negative Nancy' but I agree a little disappointing. PF did seem unwell, or high or something. Etty seemed high too. Some of her dance moves and facial expressions made me giggle.

No matter what though, this is 2024 Porno for Pyros. It’s nearly 30 years later. It’s going to be more subdued.

Anyone know what Port Chester or NJ venues are like?

I’m loathe to see them at Hammerstein that place sucks.

Oh I agree. But compare this to the lolla show and it's off. It just seems unprepared. Which is kinda par for the course. Hopefully it gets a lot better.

Some of it is OK. Perry doesn’t really seem psyched to be there, and definitely sounds under the influence of pharmaceuticals. It’s low energy, a bit off, but not as lazy or off as we’ve heard him. He sounds adequate on some parts and a few entire songs.
