why is everyone always surprised? it's like groundhog Day here at times...
Hope is just another form of prayer? SADNESS! It's a cloud..
Likely because there's always hope, I was hoping for a stripped down tour with some energetic stuff thrown into the mix not the other way around personally

Pete briefly talking about Perry's KROQ interview:
I was also at Santa Ana and will just say San Diego rocked. Perry and the whole band sounded great with some nice footage of Pete’s amazing playing in this video. Hope the rest of the tour continues like this but who knows. Either way I will see them again in Jersey for the final show of the tour. Was having too much fun to record every single song but there was a lot more to the evening than whats in the video. There's about 1 hour and 20 minutes of 4k footage in the above video between all the bands.
Before the show got to talk to a couple outside while P4P was soundchecking. Later saw them next to us in the front row as the woman was being removed by security due to what looked like dehydration and the dude later followed. He is in the video attempting to high five Perry on his way out. Was bummed as they seemed super stoked to be there and hope all are ok. A fight broke out during orgasm and someone got booted just like it was '92. Aside from that it was smooth sailing and great energy from the band and the crowd.

Batteringram, this is great- thanks for sharing!
First time I’ve heard the Hendrix cover. Sounds great and very fitting for who they are as a band today. Pete sounds awesome and Watt is really into it.
It also doesn’t look like Perry’s son was playing with Glossy… I guess he bailed?

no idea on this one - I did notice the drummer changed but no sure who is who
Also don't forget that if you do the Veeps monthly premium plan, this show is included and you actually save yourself a few bucks vs just buying this show individually.

Ventura was a rough experience - for me anyway. It's possible that I was in a poor position for sound quality (I opted for a clear view of the stage, side front), so perhaps others had a different experience. Perry sounded pathetic. Weak voice, exacerbated by him being fucked up. It's insane how they good they were at The Belasco last year...how good he was. Then that, last night. I can't think of a worse performance from him, but that's likely to be faulty memory, The band were fucking great, obviously. Perry's vocals were just absent or poor, and next level rambling between songs.
I have to say, 'Blood Rag' was phenomenal. I have never liked it as a song but was blown away how good it was. Tribal Perk bliss.

I was maybe in the same spot, off to the right in front of Watt. (Whose facial expressions while playing deserve a Grammy on their own) I think the sound in general at the stage was terrible, especially for the vocals...even when Perry was just talking it was hard to hear him. I chalk it up to not being in a good spot to have sound actually projected at our ears.
Heading to Belasco tonight...have a front row balcony spot and hoping for better sound.
P.S. I live for Perry stage rambles.

I made a beeline of the other side, to be as far away as possible with The Etty.
But you're spot on about Watt's expressions.
Let's hope for better tonight....
