Will be interesting to see if it’s with Dave. I suspect not? I feel the imagery they are using is legacy stuff because it’s the most powerful and famous.

Doubt it’s Troy cause I think he’ll be on tour with QOTSA

I would think Josh?

I hope it’s Dave though. Would be a really great. but if it’s not I wonder if you can say long covid is again?

I’m equally excited, whether it’s Dave or Josh.

I’m gutted I probably can’t make the Uk shows because I work in a school in Italy. There’s no Italy date but it looks like maybe there’ll be more festivals added too.

I’m gonna try and work out how I can do a budget tour of some shows in Luxembourg and Germany. I’d def prefer their own headline shows unless there are some really good festival line-ups

Have former band members sued over stuff like this if they are not involved? If Dave is not part of the tour, it’s clearly a move on the part of the band/management to mislead the public. I’m certain there has been litigation over this sort of thing in the past. Pretty sure some artists have been forced to clearly disclose the lineup of the band and such.

It’s interesting they used that picture because that’s not necessarily the Dave Navarro people recognize (sunglasses, no beard, visible tattoos). But at the same time it’s obvious that’s it’s an old picture of the classic lineup. So again, they’re walking this line where they sort of have an out if he doesn’t end up coming to Europe.

Regardless of any legal loopholes the band MAY be jumping through, it’s a shitty, underhanded approach if they are continuing to avoid telling fans that Dave is not a part of things.

Circa 1989 before I'd heard a note of Jane's music I saw Perry wearing that hat and lipstick and for months thought of Jane's Addiction as that strange looking band with the ugly woman in it... :lolol:

They’ve also confirmed a festival in Italy.

I’m gonna do as many shows as I can! I am doing it on tight budget though and I have to admit I’m worried about booking time off work, flights and hotels and then they cancel their shows. They’ve not filled me with much confidence in the last year.

Dave can't even catch any Uber when the band is playing in Los Angeles. You think he's getting on an international flight? :eyes:

The band's management better have someone on the phone with Klinghoffer right now, because Pearl Jam just finished their new album and are currently booking their own 2024 tour(s). If they haven't already locked Josh down for those dates, Jane's is going to have to find a 3rd fill-in guitar player. Maybe that Pete version of Jane's will finally happen.

Rumor is PJ is in England/Germany at the same time- maybe Josh can go back and forth lol. I’m sure they’d let him play with Janes. He’s just playing percussion, a little bit of guitar, and a lot of taking pictures for them

I may go to Dublin. Jane's doesn't always come home happy after Euro tours. So I'd try to see them sooner rather than later! Maybe a Summer US tour will be announced soon, and hopefully an EP!

They might play the same festivals as well :noclue:

Pinkpop, Werchter, ... those are PJ sized festivals

Maybe closer to the dates, they will say that Dave is not on the tour due to “REALLY long Covid”. And then they will eventually cancel all of the dates to finish one new song. :lolol:

Dave is being very clearly featured in all of the ads and write ups. It’s no fluke. I want to believe they have confidence he’ll be there. If not then it’s a very deliberate bit of deception.

And then not release that new song for 17 years.

Either they’re waiting for Dave to say “yes”, work out the financial side of things, and have him sign on the dotted line…or there’s intentional deception going on.

If Dave has already signed on for the tour, they would be more overt about the original lineup being back together.

The whole thing is weird. If Dave has essentially left the band, he really should do up a press release.

Just to draw a comparison, when Slash and Duff rejoined GNR in 2016 (and thereafter), the band/management never used an old photo of the original lineup from the 80s to promote a current tour (because it wasn’t the full original GNR lineup and they knew the uproar it would likely cause). So there may be hope…or maybe the band/management is going to get a call from Dave’s lawyer. :noclue:

None of these dates are even on their website. Some are on ticketmaster though.

My guess would be:

I don’t think Dave has left the band and I would think he wants to be involved and 100% .. and he tells the other guys he’ll be ready soon, and they’re holding out for him and hoping and praying. But I think he’s just too strung out - and out of his mind on drugs to be anywhere near reliable.

It would seem Navarro has always loved and respected Jane’s music and his position in the band .. it’s part of his identity. If he was out we would know by now.. in the same way Martyn pulled out.

I guarantee the band and management are all routing for him to get his shit together asap.

I agree. I just hope it’s not that dire and maybe things have progressed positively.
