I said yesterday in the Dark Matter thread that it sounded like the wheels were coming off again. I don't think these guys can pull the album off live. Perry and his backing tracks are horrendous. The Letterman performance was terrible and they didn't look like they were on the same page at all.

Of course this could all be nothing but it feels like winter 2003 all over again..

I don't know if this was mentioned before, but, I just randomly decided to see what Les Claypool was up to these days and I saw on his web site that Primus was supposed to open this show with Jane's in Hawaii.

Also, I think you guys are being overly negative about the state of the band. Dave just tweeted a congrats to Perry for winning some Billboard award. I doubt he would have done that if their relationship was on the rocks.

They Love Hawaii. I can see Belly Up in Aspen being in play now though. Primus and Janes tour would be pretty cool in 2012 though. I still think a Summer tour with the Pumkins is a big possibility and would make a lot of dough.

This seems more likely than The Chili Peppers. They could "co-headline", although I think The Pumpkins should play last. Even in their triaged state, I think they are a bigger draw than Jane's Addiction right now.

I suspect it's economics. Hawaii is expensive for a band. If they're supposed to be somewhere the next day it might just not be logistically possible.

My coworker just saw STP at the Marquee in Vegas on November 5th. Said it was excellent. Marquee is a pretty nice club in Vegas from what I know. I remember STP playing at the House of Blues during the No.4 era, which was a secret show just like this one at the Marquee. STP loves Vegas secret shows.
