Mumford & sons are good imo. If you are in the mood for sound like that.

What is with the hype about Florence....? I tried it but cannot stand her voice.

Doesn't really look like the names are in any particular order when you look at both nights.

Mumford & Sons use of the banjo irks me.

Foster the People are great!

Actually both nights are listed alphabetically...KROQ always does this for their "acoustic" xmas shows and doesn't actually reveal the order until day of.

The newest Florence & The Machine song sounds like a combo of Joni Mitchell, Bjork, and Dolores O'Riordan. I guess if you don't like them, you wouldn't like her. But if you don't like them... there's something wrong with your brain.

It's a really good song. I'm not saying Florence can play the appalachian dulcimer like Joni, because I'm almost certain she can't... but she does have a nice vocal style, and the songs suit her.

I've found their stuff to be a little derivative, but I have yet to hear the new stuff yet.

It's exactly as derivative as my original comment says it is. How is sounding like three different great singers NOT derivative?

I meant more that they sound like a lot of boring indie-pop these days, musically. but maybe working at a college radio station will make you jaded? I hear a lot of stuff that's all trying to sound like the same (not even trendy, but) standard indie-abnfgiohsepogjhaerhiap.

I fucking hated working at a college radio station from 2003-2008. That was a fucking TERRIBLE time for indie music. At least Florence has some semblance of interestingness.

KROQ usually list it by billing (headliner first and so on, at least from what I can remember), so I didn't think to check if it was in alphabetical order. I'm curious to see when they'll actually play.
