God I hate Pitchfork. Definitely for the hipster crowd. I love TGEA's cover. And yes I hated P4K before they put TGEA on this list.

Out of that worst list, TGEA is one of the better ones.

The Steven Tyler one is beyond embarrassing.

Back before Idolator became a shitty "what Ke$ha had for breakfast" gossip site, they had a recurring tag of posts simply called "Art?" They had a grand time with Satellite Party.

For better or worse, Pitchfork is the modern-day equivalent of RS in the '70s. But the writing isn't as good.

TGEA cover is pretty frigging bad. But not as bad as it could have been. Does anyone detect a theme? I loved the caption: "Dude, you're getting a Dell."

I think this basically encapsulates Nu-Jane's position in today's music marketplace. Think about it: no snarky hipster site -- or zine, as we knew them -- would've been able to diapatch NS or Ritual with a single pithy sentence back in the day. Part and parcel.

This might be the funniest thing I've ever seen:

I can't stop laughing. I kind of believe it sounds better than TGEA, too.

I was talking about Pitchfork making fun of the cover, not the music. Trouser Press said this: "Farrell's skillful front-cover sculpture of two nude women — joined at the shoulder and hip — with pierced nipples and their heads ablaze is the album's only convincing evidence of creativity at work."

There were plenty of bad notices about the music, but I don't recall anyone making fun of the album art. But that doesn't meant didn't happen. Just that it's a lot easier to do with TGEA.

Haha ditto.

Especially since we all joked about the CRT What year is Perry living in?

Jane's Addiction truly is the Dell of rock music though. haha
