This video had a lot of potential, but I don't think it was fully realized. They should have gone more extreme by making it really surreal. Some tits and a guy popping his eye out, whoopee.

Also, the band seems too disconnected from what is going on in the night club/rest of the video. Perry is the only one wearing anything remotely like what the other people in the video are wearing. They should have done some "surreal" stuff too. Maybe they didn't have enough budget to do any computer special effects.

Dave is Dave though. That's always why he's been so cool. People have been slagging the goatee since 1999, but he does it anyway.

He doesn't care what anyone thinks, he is just himself. And that's admirable. If he wants to direct porn, or host a TV show, or wear a woman's lingerie robe, he does it. He doesn't worry what's cool or fashionable or what people will say.

His spread logo was a goddamn UNICORN. I mean come on. He could easily hire someone to dress him and pick his image. Instead he just does what he likes. That's what i've always liked about the guy. And respected about him. As hollywood as he is, he's still totally unique. No cliche clothes, no flavor of the moment hairstyles. Dave is Dave. And you can always count on the fact that he's real.

he said on Howard Stern the last time that if he cared about what the fans would think about this or that and based his decisions on it, that would be selling out. It's a pretty cool point.

Jane Addiction have promised that their NSFW edition of the video for their new single "Underground" will be released later today via Playboy.com, but here's the version the band does want you to watch on your lunch break. Lit by dramatic strobes, Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro and company hang with some gothic strippers and consult psychic friends with the sepia filter on. The video is ridiculous, yet awesome, especially when you realize how much Perry's fedora makes him look like Zorro.

YUP. The uncut version is edited WAY better. It's like the censored version was edited by a monkey in about 5 minutes. The uncut version really captures the band's performance and SELLS the song (something the censored version sorely lacked).
