What I liked about the idea is that it would leave both sites unchanged, and the site and the board would each have their own identity. There are a few band fan sites out there that link to a board that is independently run but the two entities are "friends" so to speak. I like that set up.

That's what it sounds like to me. I still don't see the point. No matter what it'll still look like one guy is talking for us. I am much happier having all of us speak for ourselves in a varied and democratic way.
