Honestly after GGU if they would have just continued to make acoustic surf rock I would have been okay with it infact I probably would have loved it as that was awesome. Perry and Pete definitely still have a chemistry with one another.

it's probably more the fact that he played a song he hasn't played in 15yrs. at least it is for me.

Its better than anything he has done in a long time and this is where I saw him going after GGU coming out. Acoustic surfery stuff as I assumed he would be losing his voice eventually with all the drug abuse and not taking care of it

This has always been my thought process on this as well. The problem is, that's not glamorous enough. Not enough red carpets.
