Re: rip dick clark
That sucks. When we had that "what was your first record you bought" thread, I'd posted my Dick Clark double LP history of Rock. All 50s and 60s stuff. I listened to it over and over on my little plastic record player. It had a big picture of Dick Clark's face on the cover, so I associate him with that old school rock. The Leader of the Pack, Life Would Be A Dream, Crimson & Clover, All I Have To Do Is Dream. Good stuff.
Re: rip dick clark
He had been in poor health since his stroke 8 or 9 years ago.
I remember watching American Bandstand on Saturday mornings; the kids on the show would tend to say the same thing about most of the songs: "It's got a good beat and you can dance to it."

he really shouldn't have gone in front of the camera again after his stroke. he pretty much owned everything and i'm sure died a really rich man.
Re: rip dick clark
I only know him from Howard Stern's impressions of him. Didn't sound like he was in the best shape to say the least, so it's probably a good thing he passed on
