The Lakers are just a skummy douchebag team. They gotta get rid of that thug. :bs:

I remember when it was fun to hate em.

Meh in the 90s that would have been side out, Karl Malone hit David Robinson a lot harder than that with an elbow and it was just a foul. David Stern has pussified the league, also if Harden was going to keep running his mouth to a hot head like Artest what did he expect to happen?

EDIT: He was not given a foul at all

I get it. Anything goes with the purple and gold, and you like tu quoque infractions of logic.

come on now...are you seriously saying a play like that is ok? the malone foul was not obvious...the artest foul was done after the play not during a play. you think he deserved that?

by the way i don't think artest is a dirty player...he is just the dumbest player in the nba.

Naw I just don't like Harden he talks a lot of shit for a player that has done nothing in the league. If you watched the previous games he was jawing with Artest and Kobe each game, putting his leg under neath Kobe when he would rise up on shots and things of that nature. Which do not get noticed a lot but they're cheap class less plays. Should he have elbowed him? Probably not but that is the thing everyone acts like they have never done anything out of anger in this thread. I've damn near killed friends in pick up games, I've suffered a couple concussions on fouls.

You of all people who probably loved this play in which there was no attempt on the ball:

Or this gem

guess that is how Shammies play D by hitting people in the nuts

Or this one

Nice chicken wing

Epitome of class here:

FYI I'm not saying it belongs in the sport but it happens all the time. Every player does something dirty with the exception of maybe Shane Battier, especially a lot of role players.

Definetely...in the 90's when Jordan was playing the league was all about aggressive physical presence and intimidating the opponent...

It was a cheap shot but i still feel like todays nba lacks some of those loose cannons.

Ron Artest is one of those guys that'll be dead broke within a decade of his retirement

See you witnessed how MJ was abused for going into the lane and he was the leagues biggest player. None of this shit is new just more watched over.

That should have been at least 20 games judging by what Stephen Jackson got from hitting a fan, classy move there. Guess the Shammies are still just pissed from 22 years of irrelevance. Its okay not every franchise can only miss the playoffs 5 times in its existence. Or have the RHCP make a song about them.

Where was your outrage on this? Guess its okay for Kevin Love to go all Suh on someone helplessly laying on the ground... all I'm saying is this shit happens all the time. Kevin Love could have really killed Scola on this and only got two games and also Love had the intent to hurt Scola as they had been going back and forth all game. But no one calls Love class less or anything.

Speaking of Scola, maybe he deserved a good stomping:

Also not the martyrs of the NBA, more like the Freedom Fighters of the NBA

Love's was a warning tap. He clearly let up and didn't give that stomp everything he could. Nonetheless, a scumbag move.

And Pierce hitting the ref was an accident, universally accepted as such by C fans and haters as well as the victim. :essence:

And I'll bite on the whole 'deserving' thing....

First, I don't accept what you see as acceptable retribution. And if I did, I would say that any pissed of player who wants to introduce non basketball techniques simply meet the other outside in the parking lot where they both understand the rules.

And yes, fight on Meta......everyone will soon be free.

Haha the issue I'm seeing is the double standard, cheap shots are cheap shots regardless. Hence me being illogical, no outrage for the other plays because they were not on national TV in a spot light game. Punishment should be the same regardless but Ron will get like a crazy suspension, even though the face stomp act was just as dangerous. Love also has a history of dirty plays, but because he wasn't involved in the Malice in the Palace he gets a pass, that or he plays for Minny and well....

Everyone is overreacting and like its been said on ESPN of all places except by Rich Bucher who is a OKC homer, Harden shouldn't have run up like that to stop the celebration. With someone with a history of being a loose cannon, tough guy Harden should have known better.

As for Paula, I don't know he seems to act big when he's on the court, but then in Night Clubs... not so much he wouldn't introduce stuff in the parking lot because he knows that ref might have had a knife.

Also everyone is losing the biggest thing about this, Ibaka/Ron MMA fight.... needs to happen.

Perkins/Artest has a better chance of an upset.

Artest is a fuckin animal dressed in clothes. The only guy I've see put fear into him was Ben Wallace and that fear was logical. Wallace would have wrung him out like a dirty dishcloth. :hehe: And to that, you will never see Artest throw an elbow at someone like Wallace.

Oh and for Pierce, I agree. Both he and Garnet would never actually throw down in a fight...so much bravado.

Oh I don't know that is what started that whole thing in the first place.

The only other one I saw that was that good was Barkley / Shaq that would have been a good one, because Chuck was like Artest, I mean he threw a fan thru a window on the River Walk in SA, that shit is legit.

Yeah his history is what made it a lot more, oh well should get him back for the second round, against OKC and then he will probably elbow Harden again and then get banned from the league. :lolol:
