These are all people who have recently told me they WANT to do these things. It's not like I'm calling unknown assholes to do shit they've never shown any interest in. All of these activities were FREE. All of these humans complain about stuff not being free. Well, these were fucking free. And they all were accessible at normal hours. And they were all 50 steps away from subway stations, in case they didn't have a car or didn't want to drive.

This week was specially intense in terms of attempting to improve my relationship with mankind. I met with friends, family and acquaintances almost every day of the week. Somehow, almost all of them managed to disappoint me.

I went out with friends who are classier than me to a seafood place by Lincoln Center and I paid $26 for a lobster roll that didn't have a lot of lobster meat

You are very lucky that you only got fleeced for $26. Living in restaurant rich/tourist cities can be a major hazard. You can wind up in a place and pay $100 a plate and be hungry afterwards and wish you had eaten a couple slices of pizza for $5 instead. Don't get me wrong, I love well prepared food, you just have to be very cautious, and I'll pay what it costs on a special occasion. But I would say the majority of "nice" restaurants are not worth it, they are for the business folks and tourists.............. BEWARE!

"D'oh!" moment of the day.....

I decided to load up some (carbonated) Diet Redbull in the refrigerator out of a plastic wrapped carton sitting on top of the 'fridge this morning. Being lazy, instead of bringing down the carton, I used an X-Acto knife to awkwardly reach up and cut the plastic wrap to get at the cans and slipped and stabbed one of the cans (which seem to be barely thicker than aluminum foil) which soaked me in seconds while I was comically fumbling trying get the can out of the package or at least stop the spraying leak. I bet someone shook up those fuckers in a paint mixer before packaging 'em. To add insult to injury, the dog kept trying to lick my face and arm as I was cleaning up the floor.

i don't drink energy drinks but when i play poker sometimes i will mix rockstar with vodka to keep my old ass awake. when i open the cans half of the time it sounds like a bomb went off. those things can have some serious pressure built up.

Ouch! I've been in your shoes before. Well, not your new ones, but you know what I mean.

I always carry a spare of shoes when I'm wearing new shoes for the first time. Usually just flats or some other light shoe/sandal that can fit in my purse. I've had too many experiences like yours. One time I had a blister so bad I just walked with one shoe off. I was wearing pantyhose too so the nylon stuck on the bloody blister.

i got a new sectional sofa and the thing blocks about a foot of the front windows and i can't see out the windows when i sit down. one of the big things that i want in a house is that the family room is in the front of the house. i hate when it is in the back and you can't see what is going on in the front. i may have to get rid of it.
