no one would spend 20 million on a house in fairfield. it will never sell. the house is silly but i do love the garage. for 20 million i would be less than 50 yards from the ocean somewhere.

I went to the doctor today because of a pain in my arm and shoulder and found out I have a "rotator cuff" injury. Sounds like a car part..
About 2 months ago, I slipped on a worn down step going down some stair. I managed to stop myself from falling by gripping the railing really hard and not actually landing on my ass or back. It hurt for a couple of days and seemed to go away until last weekend. I was rearranging some stuff in my storage room(Lifting and stretching) and seemed to have aggravated it and now the pain is back. I can't lift my right arm above my head or stretch my arm back very far. It's also painful at work because I am using a mouse most of the day.Anyway, I have to go for an ultrasound and physio.
Thanks for listening.

@Artemis: That stinks! Take it easy and definitely do the PT that they recommend, very important. Your country must have some sort of system where they let people not work for sn ungodly amount of time because of personal injuries?

I was thirsty and it took me like 2 minutes to get the safety seal off of my bottle of iced tea.

I think if you hurt your rotator cuff two months ago, the pain would not have gone away. Hopefully, if it is indeed your rotator cuff, the injury to it occurred last weekend. The earlier you catch it, the less invasive the surgery. Good luck.

I had right arm rotator cuff surgery in early '08. It started as a dull ache in the muscle in my forearm over the previous Summer and got to the point I was having trouble lifting my arm at all. Doc couldn't initially find anything wrong so sent me to physical therapy through '07 Christmas break. What I was dealing with was "calcific tendonitis" which is a a bone-like material the consistency of toothpaste or plaster was accumulating in the shoulder joint. During therapy, I tore the rotator cuff and it became unbearable 'til I had the surgery a couple months later. The surgeon did it orthroscopically to scrape and suck out out the calcification crap and used fishing line to strengthen the joint between arm and shoulder. Within a week after I was done, I was almost 100% again. No limitations and no further issues since then. They were nice enough to document the procedure with video and still photography:

Just completed my commute home that cost me $54.50 but normally costs $ 4.50 and involved ineptitude, absent mindedness, multiple trains, a long bike ride and tragically a civilian death, probably suicide......... considering that I am grateful that my day wasn't way worse.
