I live right by there. That guy is SUCH a thief!! I never get gas there!!blackula wrote:Over 4 bucks a gallon in NY. 10-40 cents more per gallon if you use a credit or debit card instead of cash. I'm going to go super local, Romeo! How ridiculous is the gas station at the corner of Long Beach Rd and Atlantic Ave? Last time I was there they had the hugest price increase for credit/debit cards vs. cash. It was about 40 cents, I've never seen the credit price per gallon that much higher.
I always thought it was illegal to charge different prices based on payment method, I guess I was wrong cuz every gas station does that now
And he changes his prices 2 to 3 times a day! I leave in the morning and he'll be $3.87, come home from work and it's $3.98.
You're better off going down to Sunoco over by Trader Joe's. He's always a few cents less than Gulf and same price for cash/charge.
And I think you are right, I believe it was either Al D'Amato or someone had passed a bill making cash/credit the same price. But now we are talking at least 20 years ago Because D'Amato has been out of office since 1999
So that bill could of expired and was never renewed
