We're happy to have you here! I am looking forward to the 'next future' as well. I think that is a good way to think about it. We always have a 'future' in mind, but if we are not happy about it, we should think of our 'next future' instead. Usually in English we say "near future", but I like the way you said it....

By any chance are you going to the Killing Joke show TONIGHT at La Cigale, Paris!?? If so I am very, very jealous; and if not, then GO for gods sake!...... Or maybe the 4/14 show in Strasbourg or 4/16 show in Toulouse or 4/19 Lyon.
