Wooo-hoo....?
I suppose this means competetive PAC-12 teams can now play cupcake teams to start the season like the SEC....as long as there are two in the top 10 at the end to leverage the winner up...
Re: NCAAF
I think playoffs would be interesting, but I'm not too keen on the 4-team structure that they've announced. I would think an 8 to 10 team structure would be a lot better.
Re: NCAAF
oh... I thought this was PAC-12 playoffs.... I think it's a good step for 4 teams to start, for the national championship. That way the bowl games stay somewhat in tact. There is a lot of history there that would be a shame to just scrap. Though, I can't say they haven't already ruined the traditions...... no good answers.
Re: NCAAF
imho this is perfect...this is about deciding who the number 1 team is...if a team doesn't make the playoff it's because people couldn't agree they were a top 4 team...so i don't feel bad for them...it always seems to be 1 2 and a fringe 3rd team that doesn't make it..after all when was the last time 4 teams went undefeated? this will be exactly what i wanted it's basically an add one....with rankings going into bowl selection...with all the big conf championship games will be easy to pick a couple teams as your 1 and 2 and still have room for that random team from the shitty conf that went undefeated like boise and such
love that it's gonna run for a full 10 years...i bet it stays this way for a long ass time

Forget that thought............
Meet Marcus Mariota. Redshirt Freshman. 6'-4 211.
Played less than half a game.
Mariota was simply fantastic on Saturday, leading the Ducks to seven touchdowns on his seven series, going 18-for-22 for 200 yards and three TDs with one sack and no interceptions, and also rushing four times for 24 yards.
Best of all, the redshirt freshman showed all the intangibles a quarterback needs to run Oregon's hyperspeed spread-option offense -- he was poised, crisp, decisive, quick.
In short, he looked like a star in the making.
Re: NCAAF
Well, you have to win these games first off, and secondly, I really had no clue how this guy Mariota was going to pan out, and I don't know if you watched the Oregon game, but the second string in the second half was like night and day vs our first string. Arkansas State is no New Mexico, they won 10 games last season. It's an awesome start, what more could we ask for.creep wrote:look at you guys saying how great your teams are when you haven't played anyone good. these games mean nothing.

the michigan game and running into my ex last night - really need to scrub off the shame.
Re: NCAAF
Colorado is bad, not sure why Larry Scott went with them he should have went harder after OU and Texas. And USC played well today until Monte put the back ups in and started playing prevent was 35-16 ended up 42-29, those young ones making mistakes but at least its game experience and saving the starters with our depth issues.creep wrote: sac state beat a pac 12 team today (colorado).

come on man...there is 9 minutes left.
they were unimpressive last week. i think they were way overrated.
Re: NCAAF
Naw that guy at C sucks 17 missed blocks tonight, there is no way Barkley will have a chance to throw. It pisses me off, no time to throw... 7 step drops, like every fucking play. Stanford should be up 30-14 right now, but got lucky with 3 missed FGs. Judging by their performance tonight USC was very, very overrated.
