2022 will be the the 10year anniversary of the first ANR Secret Santa. I'm marking my calendar to make a "Who's in?" post for September.

Ya know, I'd do it again, but it might be the tipping point to my demise. Just seems the less I take on, the smoother my AARP days go. Still in use are my chop sticks from our friend in Japan, my C's blanket, and shelved is a fine McCarthy novel.

If memory serves, I think we started off with around $25 -$30 or whatever people were comfortable with spending.

Looks like it's just us since nobody else expressed interest in participating. December 1st is on Thursday so let's get Secret Santa started!!

Judging by the underwhelming response, I am doubtful that a fourth person will emerge by December 1st.

Artemis Claus visited my postbox late this Xmas Eve afternoon!

I received a box full of Keanu Reeves and Canadian goodies:



- Keanu Believe It's Christmas!? card
- Maple syrup Xmas tree ornament (one of my few sweet tooth loves)
- CBC Radio socks (I've listened to some great CBC podcasts, and the sock design is great!)
- Curling coffee mug (My wife has a firm love of curling and will be trying to claim this mug as her own)
- Toronto thermostat fridge magnet (Testing it out in our chilly Tallahassee weather now!)
- Old Spice Swagger stick (I honestly had no clue about the Old Spice - Canada relation!)

There's no Canadian connection with Old Spice. I was thinking of the "What kind of deodorant do you use? "thread.

I haven't received yours yet, probably not until at least Wednesday. If you sent through regular post, no delivery on Mon+Tues.

....This is why I don't trust my brother, who told me, "You didn't know Old Spice was originally from Canada?", when I was opening everything. Bastard....

I sent it through USPS Priority and they said it would be there by yesterday. I'm sorry! It should hopefully be there right when postal starts arriving again on Wednesday!

My package was supposed to reach you on Dec 22nd. When I was checking the tracking, I noticed it was in Chicago(USORDA)for about 4 days.

He startled cackling when I mentioned it to him yesterday

Yeah, USPS have been having major delays the last year, and holidays exacerbated it I'm sure.
