My friend's santito shrine tonight.
Re: Official MLB Thread
I hate to punish everyone for the actions of one person, but now I want Toronto to lose because of that dope that threw the water bottle.
-edit-
Looked like a can. I really hope they lose now.

Re: Official MLB Thread
I want a Giants / Dodgers NLCS and I want the Dodgers to win and then go win the WS and end the drought. So what will actually happen is that since it's 2016 the Dodgers will get swept by the Nats and then the Giants are going to win the WS being an even numbered year.creep wrote:you do know you just jinxed the team right?MYXYLPLYX wrote:If the Mets win, it would be quite the accomplishment, beating a pitcher they've never defeated, who also happens to be arguably the best post season pitcher of all time, in a win or go home game on the road where he (and the Giants as a team) have never lost..."...the Mets have never beaten Bumgarner. Wow, what a deflation for the Mets..
Re: Official MLB Thread
i will stop posting these played out pics whan they stop making me laugh. these games are going to give me a heart attack. sure got quiet
Re: Official MLB Thread
Congrats to the Giants!
Re: Official MLB Thread
I want the Giants to win the World Series obviously, but coming in a very close second place is for the Cubs not to.

I meant it sincerely... I learned long ago to never bet against the Giants.
I don't believe in even year magic and I don't believe in jinxes.
I DO believe in the Giants and Bumgarner in the post season...
Re: Official MLB Thread
Game 1 today! I think it's gonna be ugly in Arlington for the Blue Jays and their fans. I've read a few comments where people are calling the Toronto the Philadelphia of Canada. I guess Philly fans have a bad rep...
Re: Official MLB Thread
I was there last night....yeah, huge kick in the balls. Great game, Bumgarner went deeper into the game than Syndergaard and that ended up being the differene. Finess over power I guess.Artemis wrote:Wow, what a deflation for the Mets..
Re: Official MLB Thread
I bleed Orange & Blue for life, I went into the game with low expectations. Murphy out, DeGrom out, Wheeler still out, Flores out, Walker out, Wright out, Matz out
We are the walking wounded, even Syndergaard needs bone spur surgery now.
The Wild Card game was a gift but I really did not see them going far

Not like in 99
I just changed the channel in the 9th with 2 outs
Re: Official MLB Thread
I feel so bad for Steve Bartman
Since the Blue Jays beat the Orioles when I wanted them to lose that game, I'm now wanting the Blue Jays to beat the Rangers because I hate the Rangers.
Re: Official MLB Thread
Well yeah, there have been many worse endings to Mets seasons. With 4 out of 5 starters lost for the season ( Colon was supposed to be in the pen when Whealer returned), 3 out of 4 starting infielders lost for the year, and D'arnoud and Conforto regressing how the hell did we even end up in the wild card game? Depth and Managing, Sandy and Terry did an overall great job, but with that amount of loss they weren't winning it all.Romeo wrote:I was gutted because I had low expectationsblackula wrote:I was there last night....yeah, huge kick in the balls. This does not compare with 88, 99, 07, 08 collapse and the WS last year.

The loss to the Braves in 99 GUTTED me. That one was hard to swallow. 88 we should of won against the Dodgers (not as bad as the BoSox against the A's. Man I was in Cooperstown during the playoffs and I thought the BoSox fans were suicidal)

Well done, Osuna!!
Another win, game 3 on Sunday!!

Watching the Cubs/Giants game now...Cueto looks amazing. Fuck Lester.
I'll be rooting for the Giants for the rest of the postseason. They're the only team I like.
Hope the Red Sox get swept and Big Papi makes the final out swinging his last roid swing of his career. David Price 0-8 in postseason starts with a 5.50+ era Love it.

I'm one of the few baseball fans that hates Wrigley field, with those stupid baskets hanging off the wall giving players HR's that never actually make it over the fence.
I hope I live long enough to see that dump of a park bulldozed
