Yeah, they are kind of sucking. I think they are in last place in their division.
We have a work baseball day at the end of the month- Jays vs Royals. Should be fun, I haven't been to a baseball game for years.
One more week until the game. Looks like the Jays have gone from bad to worse.
I think they are in the bottom 8 of all the teams.

fuck the dodgers.
as a giants fan i'm not supposed to like the a's but i have to support the bay area teams (except for the raiders). how can you not like that team though? unlike the dodgers they aren't attempting to buy a world series.
2103 payroll
dodgers - 215,000,000
a's - 65,000,000

Naw the Dodgers have Kirk Gibson on loan from the Diamondbacks to pinch hit for them, it will be a repeat of '88. It has been written!
But yes that A's team is a scrappy bunch.
Creep as for the buying of a World Series, Dodger fans had to put up with the McCourts... but if you think they're trying to buy one now wait till the TV deal kicks in. 25 years 8.5 billion.

And if it helps, you can shave of about 50 million or so as Kemp, Ethier, and Lilly aren't playing.

I hope everyone supporting the Dodgers and their payroll have never bitched about the Yankees
I'm rooting for either the A's or Tampa. Or the Pirates.
I'm actively rooting against the Red Sox (obviously) and the Dodgers (sorry Donnie)

This A's/Tigers game has me pissed off.
A Jeffrey Maier garbage HR call and Josh Reddick with the bases loaded gets 4 straight balls thrown to him, but the first pitch, clearly outside, was called a strike for some reason. He then did what he has done all season long, by striking out on a terrible pitch on a 3-2 count.
The A's getting nothing when they had the bases loaded and no one out
And that steroid cheat Jhonny Peralta tying the game up with a 3-run HR

I wish baseball would get a salary cap someday. Even the field a bit.

it's kind of what oakland does. i hope they can do something different this year. that homerun was too close to overturn. you have to leave it. i didn't understand having doolittle in there. he has been pretty shitty the last part of the season. throw your best out there. should have pinch hit for reddick too with the bases loaded and no outs.
i don't have a ton of confidence in colon. should be a good game.

This was the 1st Oakland choke in a Long time...
I think they might end up using Sonny Gray,, Colon has a horrible record vs. Tigers
The homerun dosent even bug me,,
not scoring with bases loaded with no outs on the other hand

You were right Gray is pitching.
I fucking hate Verlander, I hope he has a miserable game. Go A's
