from what i can tell when i looked before it's just a company that owns domains. they probably registered it because it was a site at one time and figured someone would buy it. i suggest that no one contacts them to show interest and grab it when it expires.

Yeah I just didn't know if anyone knew anything about ensuring it's yours the moment it expires kind of thing.

i think there are actually domain companies that do nothing but watch for domains to expire and then scoop them up for you. See if you can find one.

yeah but why pay money to do that? there isn't a huge line of people waiting to grab it i would think. i'm sure it will be available in a few months.

Yeah def not trying to pay extra. It's not that important.
