I'm such a glutton for punishment. Back down to the dome for tailgate and football again tomorrow. I have no expectations of a win.

The Ravens media would have you believe they will lose. All they're talking about is the secondary injuries.

WEEK 3:
1:00pm games...
HOU@NO : Saints.
NYG@PHI : This would usually be a great game to watch. If Vick plays, Philly wins. If not, it could be close. I'm going with Philly.
JACK@CAR : Carolina. Cam Newton's first win and 3rd staight game of 400+ yards.
NE@BUF : Patriots.
MIA@CLE : Dolphins.
SF@CIN : 49ers
DEN@TENN : Titans. (off topic, rumor has it Clinton Portis tried out for Tenn.)
DET@MINN : Lions. Thus, McNabb's job will be in question.

4:05/4:15pm games
BAL@STL : With what I've read, Rams actually have a chance. I'm taking the Ravens for the win though.
NYJ@OAK :Jets.
KAN@SAN : Chargers.
ARI@SEA : Cardinals.
ATL@TB : tough choice. I'll take the Falcons.
GB@CHI : always a great game! I'm taking Packers.

8:20pm game
PITT@INDY : Steelers. No contest.

MNF, 8:30pm
WAS@DAL ---SKins are are going to push their shit in!!

As a division opponent of the Giants and Eagles, I'm glad the Giants won.
And what a shocker... Vick gets hurt again. I swear he's made of glass.

NFC East
Redskin (1-0)
Giants (1-1)
Eagles (0-1)
Cowboys (0-0)

Skins vs Cowboys game tomorrow just became more imporant...

5-3 on my picks so far...

Man Mathews looked good today and he has looked good all season now that he gained some weight in his legs and is able to take those hits. Right now if he just keeps playing like this he's on pace for:

1104 yards rushing pace
992 yards rec pace

That would be legit to have Norv use in like Vermiel used to use Faulk... liking this game plan today. Not liking River's getting picked 2 times though and the run D looks still as suspect as it was before right up the middle.

BUT 2-1 for the first time in ages and that is awesome.

At least the tailgate was good. And tickets were cheap off stubhub. This team just doesn't give a shit. Spags needs to fucking go. He's a decent DC. But he needs a real HC to force him to make adjustments and to control actually leading the team. In a few years he'll be a DC somewhere again and make that teams D great. But he'll never be a good HC. Fuck him. Fuck the last few drafts.

It's soo disappointing because the franchise completely cleaned house. New players, coaches, front office. Oh well. We have a new owner now. This is first year. Hopefully he'll say fuck this, bulldoze, and start over yet again building around Sam Bradford.

I can't believe the Colts put up a decent fight. I wonder if Painter keeps the starting QB job.

Vick is OUT for 3-4 weeks with broken hand... and in my opinion, a shaky brain.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d8 ... aking_news

This makes tonights game of Skins vs Cowgirls HUGE.
If Skins can win, then take out a progressively unmotivated Rams... we're 4-0. Then we get a BYE week followed by a big game vs Philly, minus Vick. A win puts the Skins 3-0 in division.

That's a good place to be!!

DUCK FALLAS!!!

And despite how bad the Rams were last week, a lot of local folks still think the Skins game is an automatic win. I don't get it. Ever consider coming in to town for a game Ellis? I'd gladly show you around.

That's b/c our two teams have a rich history this past decade... We're not that different from one another. Not counting the 2011 Redskins, you could swap uniforms of each team and they'd still look about the same. We've played each other 5 games in the last 6 years. Rams up 3-2. The Rams have beaten the Skins twice in the last 3 of them though and for me at least, that was a low point as a Skins fan. I like the rivalry that has developed between our teams. We've been bad for so long that we have always been matched up against each other.

Honestly, I'm kinda worried about the Rams game b/c the Rams are in the absolute MUST WIN mode. You can maybe salvage a season with a 0-3 start. But 0-4 is a death sentence. Rams are a wounded, cornered dog. Those are the teams you don't want to meet up against. I watched the Rams game over the weekend and there's a lot to be happy with. However, the team is increasing becoming unmotivated, falling in the trap of believing they SHOULD lose. One more loss and that's it.

Depending on the outcome of tonights game, Rams might have a fair chance to beat the Skins. It's a short week for the Skins. I can all but guarantee injuries tonight. It's Skins vs Cowboys. It will be bloody. And that may benefit the Rams heavily. And let's also note that the Skins and Ram will have a BYE in week 5 so both teams want to win big. It will be an intense game!

Skins (2-1) vs Rams (0-3) will likely be a Skins win.
Skins (3-0) vs Rams (0-3) will be a trap game, high chance of Rams winning.
just my opinion...

As for the invite... I've always wanted to check that city out but it won't be anytime soon. I assure you that if/when i do get out there, we'll have a beer or two. Or three.

I've gone through 2 straight days of dental work... and somehow it felt better than thinking about the game. Seriously.

Here's to playing the Rams on Sunday. :dunce:

been a lions fan m whole life, so the start to this season has been pretty satisfying, but holy shit. I feel awful for Romo. I turned to my roommate and said: "romo has the ball with 4 left in the 4th up 3, this game is ours." and sure enough, first down, he throws a pick to give away the game. sheesh
