I was still active on one other band forum, but it got the plug pulled a couple months ago, so now ANR is the only music forum I post on with any regularity.. and I'm not even really all that active here. Ten years ago seems like there were a bunch of different music/band forums I posted on.

The past couple years I've gravitated to baseball card blogging to fill my fuck-around-online time instead, with probably like 80 or so active blogs I keep up with (but I think that all still counts as 1 for this poll). I even started my own and won "best new blog" last year and now have over 100 followers, which is "hot shit" by baseball card blog standards. It might be kinda dorky, but it's a nice little community, ranging from dudes in their early 20s to dudes pushing 60, all geeking out over cardboard and making trades to help out each other's collections.

I recently joined Twitter too (after a few years away), but again, mostly for baseball card stuff now. Other than that, Facebook, and I think that's it. My wife is a Reddit junkie and hates herself for it.

I think it was a year ago that I saw a post on the front page of Reddit with your name on it, and not long after you posted the same image either here or on Facebook... and I thought "cool. I'll mark him as a friend so his user name is highlighted, but I won't contact him just in case he wants to keep his Reddit identity sort of separated from the rest."

And now when I went to grab that screenshot I saw he likes basketball and claims to be Australian.

Eerie.

EDIT: a quick investigation reveals that he chose that user name based on a type of fish called "Bandit Acaras". But the coincidence of his posting a photo long ago and your posting that same photo on the very same day makes this a bit weird.

Fucking hell, I should sue him. I've had my moniker for years - based on 'one armed bandit' slots. I wonder if he was born in 1972 too? It does seem like a really interesting site, however I could easily WASTE my life on it, so I really shouldn't get involved. It's a cool site though.

Friends on fb don't post as much as they did say 7 years ago, when I signed up. I feel it's now for people my mom's age. I just don't have the patience I used to. I like posting pics on instagram but don't have many friends who post there. Just people from here, so it's kinda cool. I do like foursquare. A friend from Ohio introduced me to it. Friends and family bug me because I share where I go to. Mind you, only there and isn't it what it is for?
