Yes, they have. That was what I was thinking. With dropbox app I receive notifications when I upload something. But I have to have notifications turned on.SR wrote:Google shared drive. The search I did said to go to tools then alert notifications. Tools only exist in the actual files uploaded not for folders. I think the invited people might have to set up their own alerts.
I guess this is what you found on Google drive's forums:
Notifications
You can set notifications to find out when other people have modified your spreadsheets, and learn what they've modified. You can also choose how often you'd like to be notified.
Set notifications
Open the spreadsheet where you want to set notifications.
Go to the Tools menu and select Notification rules.
In the window that appears, select when and how often you want to receive notifications.
When:
“Any changes are made”
“A user submits a form”
How often:
“Email - daily digest”
“Email - right away”
Click Save.
What you will see in notifications
When receiving notifications, you and other editors will see the usernames of people who have made changes. Viewers can set notifications but can't see usernames. You won't be sent notifications about your own changes.
