Worst/Best Hit Songs to Represent a Band

#1 Post by kv » Sat Jun 18, 2016 4:45 pm

hi,

like WORST case all your friends when they think of jane's as "that jane's says band" knowing nothing of their darker side

or in BEST case say like motorerhead's "ace of spades" being the perfect rep

Been Caught Stealing seems to be the song people have always associated Jane's with, to me at least. Which is even worse IMO. It's a pretty silly song, and even sillier video. As a result, people think of them as a silly band. Certainly not the chaotic, hedonistic punks they were.

It IS overplayed but I've been actively listening to FNM since 1989 & I still love that song. The guitar work alone is just rad. If you haven't done so already play the song and concentrate on the guitar only- tune out the rest. It's awesome!!

i agree

i like 95% of their songs. i don't like epic. i prefer "the real thing" songs live because patton sounds whiny on the album. of the patton fnm albums it is my least favorite.

best to worst

king for a day
sol invictus
album of the year
angel dust
the real thing

Is this a weird question.

Has anybody ever listened to/ watched a band for a period of time that they really don't like? And although you may still not like them, or the music, you've found the whole experience very interesting and worthwhile?
