Is anyone notable still missing?

Where's Bob/Cona? Hope he's doing okay.

I thought about Subculture today. Can't say I'm sorry he hasn't made the trip. :lol:

I'm here.

When I saw that Xiola went down my initial thought was "Meh. Now I'll stop wasting so much damn time on that site". I was also on holidays and travelling around the first 3 weeks of August and was not on the Internet much.

I've actually been contemplating the last few days whether to sign up here because, I must say, that Xiola kind of ruined my enjoyment of Jane's. Following them so closely through the site demystified them and reading all the negative bullshit influenced my opinion (I agreed with a lot of the criticism of their art, but definitely disagreed with all the vicious attacks on Etty and the band members personally).

I've really been digging Irresistible Force, in fact, I really like it. I love the mood of the song and the vocal melody in the chorus. Dave's little solo is nice. (However, I think the topic of the lyrics, which I take to be about the band coming in to existence like the universe did with the big bang, are shit. The video is also really amateurish and sloppy). So, I thought coming to a place like this again would ruin my enjoyment of this song and the new record.

But, like any addict, I guess I can't stay away. Hopefully some of the nonsense from Xiola will be toned down here.
