Question for European folks
Question for European folks
I've been trying to reach someone in Germany through e-mail and phone without luck. I think it's because of the Summer holidays. Just remembered Spanish and French go back to normal life until September. But I thought this was for small businesses.

Not a question.
Re: Question for European folks
Children in England go back next Monday. Scotland was two or three weeks ago. I imagine Germany will be the first half of September if it's anything like the French.

I also have question for European folks:
The sky is grey there
Big Ben
Bangers and mash

Re: Question for European folks
Yeah, I wrote this early in the morning.
Re: Question for European folks
I'll try again on Monday then. This is a research institute though. I thought it could be the office hours too (it doesn't say anything on their site), I called between 2-3 pm. But it's weird that they haven't replied my e-mail either.Bandit72 wrote:Children in England go back next Monday. Scotland was two or three weeks ago. Re: Question for European folks
I have a question for Europeans also: What's the deal with the maypole? Do you only dance around it in the month of May, or is the name of the pole unrelated to the month? Do families or individuals tend to own and provide their own maypoles or is it a communal sort of thing? How do people know when it's time to switch direction from clockwise to counter-clockwise (or do you say "anti-clockwise" in Europe?)? Do you tend to wear regular clothing or a costume when dancing around the maypole?
I'm sure I'll think of more questions later.
