Beautiful afternoon downtown. Went to the post office to send some packages (it was closed). So many fucking people, tried to find a delicious corn on a cob, couldn't find it, had a tlacoyo and some fried chips instead (plus a McFlurry with m&m's). Went to "El Zócalo" and took some pictures. Beautiful blue sky, instead of the gray one I'm used to.

For anyone fascinated with bridges, do you guys remember the skyway bridge catastrophe back in the 80's?
Bridge got clipped by a huge ship because it was so foggy out and people drove right off the edge...
Including a Greyhound bus
Bridges scare the shit out of me.
Thats where it broke.

Well about 1,500 people have been confirmed pretty successful. Every week or so. 98% fatality rate at 75 mph into concrete.clickie wrote:From that angle it doesnt even look like jumping off that bridge would be high enough to kill ya..mockbee wrote:

No, I just needed to change my post because it posted twice, and I didn't even know if I wanted to post something the first time and he was the first person that popped into my head. I am nearing a thousand posts and am leary about being in that club....
This post should just really go into the What's Annoying You.....

figuring out a great pasta meal for the family with the contents of our fridge: bacon, peas, eggs, pasta, cream, etc. and enjoying an Aviation cocktail with my wife. The best recipe is from the NY times: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/03/dinin ... .html?_r=0

Late, I know but yr real close to a carbonara as I'm sure you know. Personally, I'd look for some fennel seed and defrost some chix for a chix sausage and peas pasta in a cream reduction sauce.blackcoffee wrote:figuring out a great pasta meal for the family with the contents of our fridge: bacon, peas, eggs, pasta, cream, etc. and enjoying an Aviation cocktail with my wife. Re: What made your day today?
Going thru old pictures, I found a really funny one (me on the toilet reading, my mom thought it was funny and took it I guess?). A friend of mine shared this link with people reenacting old pictures of themselves. Some are very funny, others are kinda creepy (the reenactment of baby pictures freaked me out a little bit )

It kinda reminded of the article about the friends reenacting a picture.

Going to start teaching guitar lessons at $30 an hour at my school. I hope it takes off. I have my own material prepared. I'd much rather do this than teach English. My student is a very tall 11 year old Japanese girl. I hope she digs it and becomes a badass.
