Those murals reminded me of the ones the locals of the town of Pachuca helped painting to make their neighborhood look better:

There's also this project for street artists to paint murals in the town of Ecatepec. It's a very dangerous town, but at least it's starting to look pretty to cheer people up.

Those Pachuca murals are so cool, really transformed the place.
In an unrelated note, flights to Mexico City are super cheap from Tijuana right now so my gf and I are looking into getting down there.

The lady who plays the waitress in this scene in Portlandia? I just realized I worked with her for a year and a half. That was a trip to rewatch the episode and be like, wait a minute.. I think I know her..
Yeah, she was in sales at my last job. Small world. or small city, at least.

just started using this great program. It makes the color of the computers display adapt to the time of day, that way your eyes don't get fried at night eg.

Whilst you're at it, you could also try AOL e-mail and geocities for your own website! Look em up on altavista, they're great. Talk to you later over ICQ.

It is! I've been using it since around 1985, that's all I'm saying. iOS has something similar too, if you use those devices.

same thing happened to me 3 years ago. A woman found it and brought it back, she wouldn't even accept a finders fee! A real sweetheart

but when that's said, I think most people would do that. I mean who'd find a strangers credit card and fly home and start shopping madly online? Only 1,2 out of 10 or something.......I hope anyway

True, I like to think the best of people. But if you were going through a tough time and hadnt done christmas shopping yet and found a wallet....then theyd be disappointed though when my credit card maxed out after $100

I woke up to some snow this morning. Being from an area that rarely got it when I lived in California (I think twice in 20+ years) anytime I get snow I love it.

It was also my dogs first time walking in snow and it reminded me of the first time she walked on grass as a puppy. She didn't know what to make of the stuff, but after a dozen or so steps she started to roll around in it. Crazy dog :thumb:

Her name is Molly. Short for Molly Cool. Which I just changed a bit from Molecule.

I wanted to name her something scientific and was going to name her Atom, because when I first saw her she was so tiny. But after thinking it over I decided to go with Molly Cool because I knew if I was out walking her and someone asked her name and I said Atom, they would think I said Adam and would then probably ask me why I named a girl dog Adam and then I'd have to say "Oh no, it's Atom, A.T.O.M., not Adam...." and I didn't feel like doing that over and over and over.

But I also call her Mall, MeMaw, Mellows and Monkey. And when she was walking in the snow I started calling her my little White Walker :hehe:

I can't believe that I forgot to say that I also call my dog Hot Tamale.

That name came about when we had unusually hot weather here where I'm at in Oregon and the dog was completely sprawled out on the back of the couch trying to cool off and when I looked at her I said to my friend "Look, it's even hot to Molly", when a second or two passed I started to laugh because I realized that I just called my dog a Hot Tamale.
