Re: What made your day today?
Finally got out and was actually able to run/jog for 25 minutes straight without too much pain today first time since going under the knife.

Anyone ever see one of their weird habits in a parent, having never noticed before? I do this thing where I talk out my thoughts. I verbalize the words to help work through the feelings... I can hear my dad laying in bed and doing exactly that. I always figured it was from him, but it's weird to actually catch it happening... just like how I do it.
...That kinda sorta made my day... it's good to know that not everything I inherited is awful... some of it is just weird and cooky...
he's really laying into it... he means business in this pretend tell-off.
...but eating half a large cheese pizza from my old favorite place still turned everything around. I love pizza, goddamn it.

Re: What made your day today?
watchin' Mythbusters... I remember when this show first came on and I LOVED it... then I just got distracted with real life, while it got popular... but it's still fun to watch. I just find it entertaining in the way most girls my age love watching reality shows...
Also... baked potato chips... they're lame... but I haven't had them in like a decade... so it's like a weird old nostalgic flavor. I took restraint not to just pound the whole bag down. I'm in the mood for a burrito... or good fajitas... something spicy, heavy, meaty, and cheesy.

Re: What made your day today?
today is my namesday
Sure I'm an atheist, but I've celebrated it forever. Does anybody elsewhere celebrate their namesday? Here is as important as your birthday.

We don't have that in Canada but where my parents are from(former country known as Yugoslavia)they have that. I'm not sure if it's the same thing as saint days...I think it is.perkana wrote:today is my namesday

Well, happy name day!
I'm sure some religious people do celebrate here but it's not a big thing.

Celebrated across most of Europe and Latin America, Name days are equivalent to Birthdays if you are unfamilar with the concept; gifts and cards are given as well as parties held in the persons honour.
Originally from Feast days of Saints with the same given or first name much of Europe celebrate Name Days in much the same way as Birthdays are celebrated in the UK and America.
Your Name day is the Feast day of the Saint with the same given or first name. Below we've listed all the names we've collected to date and the day of the year their name-day falls on. If yours is not listed then email us and we will try to find if you have a name-day.
What's in a name? Lots of names have a history or pedigree to them that have seen the test of time. Some names remain as popular today as they were in biblical times whereas some have fallen out of favour with new ones becoming more popular. Lots of names come from locations, such as towns or villages, often these do not have a date associated with the name
