Yeah, besides being really dangerous, obstructions are notoriously evil in their pain levels. Sorry to hear this; hope she's feeling better. And btw, what fucking hospital od'd her? That's just beyond bizarre

The Kaiser Hospital in South Bay/Wilmington. They're a teaching hospital which I wasn't initially aware of until the 2nd day when a nurse came in with a student to change my wife's iv to her other hand. The student looked a bit panicky trying to get the needle in the vein and my wife, even as heavily medicated as she was literally demanded the nurse herself do the stick. I've grown to realize through these experiences that when someone is in the hospital pretty much incapacitated like my wife's been, that person REALLY needs someone to be there with them as much as possible, especially the first few days of a recovery to advocate for them as it seems pretty easy for bad shit to happen.

no. They've got a good riff here and there and stuff but for the most part they seem so dependent on that off meter stuff in order to be "interesting". As a result they lack grooves. I think Maynards vocal melodies are boring and flat too. I don't get why they're so huge, I really don't

I'm so glad they rarely play it live.

We just experienced a decent earthquake here in SoCal. Although I'm only a mile plus from coastal Huntington Beach (where a 4th of July parade is going on) and the quake apparently originated more than a hundred miles away in the Mojave Desert, it was a 6.2+ and was fairly strong here - enough to slosh some water out of my pool.

My pool too. Total rolling motion...no jolts...vertigo quake

But I don’t find them annoying...kinda invigorating especially with no damage or injuries
