kind of funny you guys formed a friendship over a Pinto

Yeah, well I was 15 and he was 16 (Driving age in Cali), so that Pinto was a big deal...and were mobile.

Yeah they were condsidered good reasonably priced cars at the time and then they became labeled unsafe

This is about Tiger. Who drives 84 in a 45 mph zone? They say there wasn't any preferential treatment but they didn't even give him a ticket.

Who drives that? Just about half the people going that way everyday...it's down the hill from Palos Verdes...people are always flying down it way too fast...years ago when I worked at a auto dealership I'd have to explain to PV people why they wore their brakes out every six months from racing down the hill and slamming on their brakes

if you watched the interview he did a couple days before you could tell he was on something. who knows if that played in to it. i wouldn't doubt it. everyone remembers when the police had to wake him up behind the wheel.

Driving fast is doing 10 over. Going 85 in a 45 is reckless.

I hear ya. I've never driven that stretch of road but I have drove through mountains and you can build up speed fast going downhill.
