Yeah, well I was 15 and he was 16 (Driving age in Cali), so that Pinto was a big deal...and were mobile.

Yeah they were condsidered good reasonably priced cars at the time and then they became labeled unsafe

This is about Tiger. Who drives 84 in a 45 mph zone? They say there wasn't any preferential treatment but they didn't even give him a ticket.

Who drives that? Just about half the people going that way everyday...it's down the hill from Palos Verdes...people are always flying down it way too fast...years ago when I worked at a auto dealership I'd have to explain to PV people why they wore their brakes out every six months from racing down the hill and slamming on their brakes

if you watched the interview he did a couple days before you could tell he was on something. who knows if that played in to it. i wouldn't doubt it. everyone remembers when the police had to wake him up behind the wheel.

Driving fast is doing 10 over. Going 85 in a 45 is reckless.

I hear ya. I've never driven that stretch of road but I have drove through mountains and you can build up speed fast going downhill.

I just watched a youtube video where some guy ranks Pantera's albums, in the video he mentions how they 'borrowed' a bit from a band called Exhorder. So I checked them out. 'Borrowed'?! Ripped off is a bit more accurate, Pantera is still the greatest metal band ever in my mind, but man, 'perhaps' they should have thanked these guys once or twice in interviews (and perhaps they did, I just haven't seen it). Pantera took their style and wrote much better songs, that's why they're the famous ones, I'm a bit shocked right now

You know you're not getting enough sleep when you start washing your cheese.....

Some might remember last July I got slammed in my car totaling it from some speeding idiot who tried to go around me in front of Fingerprints Record store in Long Beach. So since then, my insurance company has been trying to settle with his insurance (he's been ruled like 80% responsible) and he went and got himself some ambulance chaser attorney and is suing me directly. Basically, my insurance covers me up up to $100k and provides a lawyer and this guy is apparently only asking for about $9k so in the scheme of things, it's really no big deal aside from the inconvenience of probably appearing in court in a couple years in LA when the stupid thing finally goes to trial. It just pisses me off that the guy caused the fucking accident, totaled my car along with 3 other cars, wasn't hurt and is looking for a few grand for "pain and suffering."

Here's another fun incident.... Monday, these guys were cruising through the neighborhood with bags of sod in their truck looking to re-seed lawns. I don't know what my wife was thinking, but she said sure, do a 10 foot square of our front lawn (which is in bad shape) to see how well their "technique" works. She more or less tells me these guys are out front as I'm working in the garage as she leaves to do some shopping. I come out front and these guys are digging up and spreading sod over the entire lawn and the dude tells me in broken english it's going to cost $3,900 (nothing in writing, btw). Hilarity ensues as I tell them to stop immediately while frantically calling my wife asking WTF is going on. Meanwhile, these guys basically say they aren't leaving until I pay them (in cash, no less). My neighbor sees me going off and calls the cops who eventually get these bozos to leave. I gave them $200.

In other fun news, my Labrador Kahlua is going to need hip replacement surgery and she's barely only 4 years old. So I'm taking her to water/treadmill therapy 3 days a week to get her stronger for the surgery. Good thing we have pet insurance.

That same night I found out my biological mother passed away (I only spent the first up to 13 years old with her when I decided to go live with family) we had a checkered relationship, but I was sad.

Makes me realize this drug cocktail I'm on to stop the seizures from ever happening again is no big deal and I'm mad at myself either way those are my annoyances well that and my tenants are late on their rent so I told them just keep the place clean, power wash the drive ways, trim the trees and do the yard themselves and we're square and they got mad no good deed. Sorry if I'm rambling. Gabapentin, carbamazepine, lamictal and 100mg of tramadol has me a bit loopy.

Listen to that fuckin monkey in the beginning.....sappiness overload .

That is a huge fire.

Luckily not near here, but just a harbinger that these major fire seasons aren't just couple year anomaly events. It seems to be the new normal. .
