Happiness Achieved

#1 Post by kv » Wed Apr 25, 2018 3:24 pm

I like soda...and fast food...a lot

So Taco Bell has this exclusive Mountain Dew soda formulated to taste great with Taco Bell... it's called Baja Blast!

It is delightful! After much demand to get it in bottles and cans (Tbell have exclusive rights to it) they agreed on a limited summer release a few years back....

It was gone in a flash...I got one case of it and a bottle or two..couple years later back again...I scored nine 12 packs... Eureka! They had a campaign to make it permanent if it won a vote competition vs Code Black (some vile cough syrup concoction no right in the head blastian (I just coined that term) would be caught dead drinking.....it lost mysteriously last minute 51/49 (I for one, blame Russia)

This year it returned on Monday!!! I scampered all about found it nowhere! ............but then....I found some...I bought some...(I mean all of it) I went back later...none...again....4 more! An employee asked if needed help...I said "I do".....more in back? I ask?

I now have twenty 12 packs....BAWHAHAHA

i sit here typing this relaxed...content I am in after glow with the faint remnants of the sweat nector still on my lips....I shouldn't be this happy... surely

Oh, but I am...

 I was thinking the same thing.

Good for you KV.

I assume you are building a shed for your stockpile since the release is for a limited time.

When it comes to Mexican fast food chains I didn't think you guys in Cali liked Taco Bell, I thought you were all about Del Taco.

In order of best to worst mexican fast food the list is: (this does not include burrito places like Chipotle..those are a different category.

1) Jimboys Tacos
2) Del Taco
3) Taco Bell

Taco Bell for me for the big chains

Dell Taco is so much better then it used be thou

But it's all about the local joints here, they are every half mile on every street almost (Leo's, Rosa's, El Burrito jr)

Then add Baja blast

There's this mom n' pop seafood place near me called Slapfish and they serve this local craft soda called Batch Soda and I've become addicted to the Shirley Temple favor. Problem is, they seem to only serve through mostly a handful of local SoCal area restaurants so I can't go anywhere and just buy a six pack.

Habit's fries are pretty good but you have to ask for them to be extra crispy or they often come out soggy. My pick for best fries is Portillos by Knotts Berry Farm...

Oh yeah I forgot you guys have Portillos in your neck of the woods. Theres 2 down here in Florida but they're 3 hours north of me up in Tampa.

If you're ever in the chicagoland area check out Buona beef. They're Portillos biggest competitor as far as chains with a drive-thru go and i've always preferred their Italian beef sandwiches.

Anyone here have a recipe for homeade Italian salad dressing they'd like to share? You know, the kind you get at an Italian restaurant when you ask for house dressing.
