Very excited for this season, as I am for every seasons. Wings v Sens on Friday. Got some new faces replacing retirees for the first time in what feels like forever, should be interesting.

Go Devils and Go Kings... I know people will say "what the LA guy is rooting for the Devils" but they had some of my fave players in Stevens and Marty back in the day.. so I started to root for them as a second team. Plus I really just stopped caring about the Kings when they traded Blake away. But honestly haven't followed anything since their strike / lockout or whatever.

That being said glad I bought the package with VS network for the bar because now we can play some of those games and maybe I will start watching again.

blake was an asshole...i was glad he got shipped

the lockout ( wasn't a strike) killed it for me...i went from a diehard season ticket holder to not knowing alot of the players on the team after it ....years later and i don't know a single king on the team right now...did go to a game last year was fun...but haven't watched a kings game since. ( did watch some of the cup though)

You leave Rob alone he was a gentle sweet ego maniac who thought he was bigger than the team. :thumb:

your team made the biggest trade of the off season (Mike Richards). you are stacked with talent. go read a roster. do it now.

He was philly's captain for the past few years. Good ol' gritty, talented Canadian boy that can do it all. FFS READ UP ON YOUR TEAM. ANZE KOPITAR is THE SLOVENIAN DEMON

Yeah the lockout killed hockey for a lot of people. Because it wasn't that big of a sport in the first place in the states.

Excited for the season to start for the Blues. We will be able to roll 4 deep lines, and with the new owner coming on we should be able to add during the season. Got a friend in the front office as well, so plenty of free tickets.

Honestly looking at things if the back line holds up for Sid the Kid to come back the Pens have a crazy good team.... The Kings just like the NBA of the same name will fuck it up.. I think I would like NHL if I had a team that I would follow instead of players... I mean Mats Sundin was one of my faves I mean he was a plural of himself.. that kind of awesome needs to be on more teams.

If you don't feel me then google "lost angeles" without the ""'s and give my bud some love

Caps vs Pens rivalry aside, I really feel sorry for Crosby. I hope he can come back 100% to the game b/c the NHL needs him. He's a star and a hero to Canada.

The home opener of the Caps is tonight at 7pm vs Carolina Hurricanes! A southeast division rival game. Great way to start!
And then on Monday night we get the Lightning... the team that eliminated us in the round 2 of playoffs last season. Fuckers.
Then on Thursday... off to Pissburgh for a great rivalry match vs the Penguins!!

just heard "Stop" on the PA system at the Islanders-Lightning game...perhaps the most exciting Islanders moment for me all season

So, does the NHL have to pay royalties to the artists for playing their songs during games?

Just curious to know how it works...never thought about it before.

Yeah the Leafs have won their first 3 too. It's not a good indication that they'll do well the rest of the season. Last year they won the first 4 and fizzled out after that.

Guess I could look on ESPN but how to the Kings look this year? Anyone know? Not talking standings but in overall play. Guess I will have to get back into hockey.

Die hard Flyers fan here. The Kings looked pretty good when they beat my team the other night. Mike Richards with an assist in OT to beat his old team, I was fucking pissed.

I think the Flyers look very solid this year & could make a run at the cup. I think the team that will surprise people will be the Sabres.
