The Kings are really streaky right now, reminds me of the 2014 playoff run. I hope they can get it together to make the 'offs especially since Quick is due back mid season

You can't build an arena for basketball and shoehorn a hockey team in. The dynamics are way off and everything is way more expensive. Hope this happens

I wonder if the "offical" hotel of the Vegas Golden Knights will be the Excalibur. :hehe:

Wouldn't doubt it, Excalibur is literally right across the street. New York New York is practically attached to the arena though. Been to Vegas way too many times in the past year and a half.

I always thought either the Raiders or Rams would end up back in LA but the LA Knights would have been cool

Now you guys get the bullshit we had. Arguably the worst run franchise in the league. Rebuild after rebuild after rebuild.

The Winter Classic today with Leafs and Red Wings was great! Good job getting the win in OT! I almost switched it off after blowing a 4-1 lead. :eyes:

I was a little surprised when I heard about that trade today. I guess you were too?
The move follows months of trade speculation where Iginla was expected to waive his no-movement clause for the opportunity to play for a postseason-bound team.

Iginla signed with Colorado for a three-year $16M contract after a brief stint with Pittsburgh following the 2013-14 season. He expected to be joining a young team looking to improve on their recent 112-point season and make a greater impact in the playoffs. Unfortunately, the Avalanche have been in a downward spiral ever since and now sit last in the NHL standings with just 37 points.

The longtime Calgary Flame scored 124 of his 1291 career points for Colorado over parts of three seasons, scoring 59 goals and starting every game during his tenure. He will now join his former Calgary coach, Daryl Sutter, with the Los Angeles Kings, who sit just one point back in the Western Conference wild card standings and have made several moves in recent days in anticipation for a playoff push.

He is our stab in the dark like last year when we signed vincent lecavalier then fell short of the playoffs...

Sad day as a kings fan with our long time announcer, since 1973, Bob miller retired..I remember watching kings games on my lil black and white TV as a child...And the voice was Bob Miller...He is gonna call the last two games this reg season...If we don't make the playoffs and bobs last game is us going home instead... Sigh

We are on a 4 game scoring streak...If the playoffs were today we'd barely make it....Stay hot kings!

Last night, PK Subban's return to Montreal as a Predator.
Touching tribute from the fans. PK was very well liked, great guy on and off the ice.

Playoffs start this week. Since I don' have a beard, I will stop shaving my legs.

I didn't expect the Leafs to get in this year, but they did. Unfortunately, they start with Washington, so their playoff run will likely not last beyond the first round. Oh well, it'll be a fun series to watch!

Fucking kings...Wonder who will be here next year there are gonna be heads that roll...At least we won Bob Miller's last home game...I expect Sutter to be fired within a week... Thanks for the cups coach...Front office did him no favors and will now use him as a blast shield

But ya kings or not NHL playoffs are the best in sports imho... I'd like to see the Caps win the cup...Leafs not very lucky drawing them...But they look poised for the future and you need playoff experience before you can go deep...

Guess the blast was too big lol

Kings fire pres AND coach...Luke Robitaille new president...Rob Blake to GM...I applaud the bold moves of an organization that will not accept missing the playoffs again with the talent our team has

Ty Darryl and Dean...We wouldn't have our cups without them

I figured missing 2 years outta the last 3 was going to have some casualties that said maybe a shake up was needed. Sucks that they brought us two cups in the last 5 years but I'm sure ownership is looking at clubs like the Blackhawks and thinking we've underperformed as you said with the talent that was there.

Our last winning playoff series was winning the cup...2 cups in 3 years...Then nothing of worth three years in a row.

I know you aren't in LA but coach had lost the locker room ages ago, half the team wanted him gone... Dean has handcuffed us with stupid contracts from the heart like Dustin Brown and Gaborik... Our vet depth has been replaced with farm kids because of our money woes

Again I totally love those two forever for the cups...But mad respect to AEG for the bold and wise business moves not from the heart

Iginla played great would love him back if cheap...He def has a little left...I was wrong on him

Yeah but I had the NHL pass so I watched a lot of the games and you could see it in the effort that he lost some of them. It seemed like this year was going to be a rough one from the get go with Quick going down but what really killed us was not being able to score the puck consistently.

Either way that '14 cup starting out down 0-3 in the series and the run they went on was magical. Probably my favorite playoff run from any of the LA teams (even though it was borderline heart attack inducing). Finally seeing them win after the great one got them to the cup finals almost 20 years earlier is still something I will never forget.

I loved the first one too but it was so easy, '14 was brutal but the end result was amazing

Blackhawks center Artem Anisimov is back right in time for the post season. He's fresh and healed and rested too, just a little rusty.

Chicago vs Nashville should be domination on par with Washington vs Toronto.
