NBA
Re: NBA
So that sucked last night, losing by one point. The game started off really well and then in the last quarter something changed and everybody seemed to be missing shots that shouldn't have been missed. Drake's scorpion pendant didn't bring us luck.
Re: NBA
Raptors down 10 right now.
Err, make that down by 13.
Uhh, make that down by 15.
I don't see how people couldn't see this coming when the Raptors struggled so badly against a mediocre Wizards team.

Re: NBA
Might as well rename the team LeBronto Raptors, because he will forever own them
Re: NBA
Seems to be shaping up that way.crater wrote:Might as well rename the team LeBronto Raptors, because he will forever own them
I thought this year's playoff situation would be better, even with facing Cleveland again. I'm still optimistic. 5 more games left to win this thing.
Re: NBA
Phillys a joke.
6 years ago they get beat in the 2nd round playoffs
Tanked for 5 straight years in a row on purpose
Finally make the playoffs again
Get swept in the 2nd round
Congrats youre exactly where you started before "the process"

Re: NBA
I am not one for injury excuses (nor do I like to see anyone, especially young people hit with them), but we have been annihilated with them. The rise of the one's left, though not completely shocking, is nonetheless something fairly spectacular to witness. The future is really, really bright.
And not a single vote for Brad in COY voting. Shameless.
Re: NBA
It will come for Brad in the actual league awards in June, maybe not coach of the year in the end but he'll definitely get a healthy portion of the votes for it and deservedly so.SR wrote:

Re: NBA
Congrats to your Cs, SR!
I was at a baseball game last night and didn't watch the game; however, I did catch the last 5 minutes- the most important minutes- at a bar near the stadium.
I hope the Celtics destroy Cleveland! (No, I'm not bitter. )

Re: NBA
I'm sad about Dwayne Casey getting fired. This week he was voted coach of the year by his peers and fired. He's definitely been the best coach the Raptors have ever had. All the success the team's had over recent years is because of him.
Re: NBA
They had higher expectations than gettin swept again. Casey is kind of a playoff hack plus they seem kinda mentally broken right now. maybe hiring a betting coach will stop the raptors from disappearing every season mid-April, or put someone else in a better position to step up.Artemis wrote:I'm sad about Dwayne Casey getting fired. This week he was voted coach of the year by his peers and fired. Re: NBA
I agree Arty. After closely watching the east this year, DC did some phenom things, but mainly altering the culture and creating that beast bench from youngster no names were at the top. Not to mention they won the east. It was a bs move, but look at their choices. 1) Clean house on talent or 2) have their own jobs looked at for replacement. Something had to be done and this was the easiest and cheapest route....one with multiple options for replacement. DIcks
