Re: NBA
Ingram is still a kid and now he is going to have likely the easiest season ever playing with the best player on the planet if he continues with that heart then I think he will make that leap. The talent is there but he needs to hit the weight room a bit. The end of last season especially defensively he was showing his skill. He increased his scoring by 7pts from his rookie year so I think even if he stays around 17-18ppg he will be solid. He is kind of the opposite of KD in the fact that he came in as a defender trying to find his scoring touch where as KD was a scorer learning to defend.
I love McGee especially his stint with the Dubs as he always gives max effort. Losing Randle sucks but he wanted a pay day and I think Bronny Drama is going to play a lot at the 4 in the post in the half court where he is basically unstoppable so it would have lessened his role. He asked to be renounced, and I think playing with AD his fellow UK alum he will excel and I wish him the best.
Wagner is a wild card but I like what I see but I also like Zubac. Gonna be a fun year for both the C's and the Lakes.. but the Dubs have 6 of the top players on USA hoops so its an uphill battle for all.

Re: NBA
I think once the shock wears off from losing DeRozan, fans will realise we got a better player. Hopefully he's healthy enough to play at full capacity.Juana wrote:Kawhi is a good dude, I mean hell he still drives a 1998 Chevy Tahoe he's wired differently and I do think his Uncle has his ear but sometimes that sort of thing happens, if Kawhi was concerned about money he would have signed that supermax the minute SA offered it to him. If he is healthy whether or not you liked DeMar Kawhi is an upgrade for them, and gives them a legit perimeter defender as well as a player that can score the ball. People forget he is a 2 time DPOY and a finals MVP.Artemis wrote:Juana, thanks for the info about KL. I looked it up and it seems that the issues have a lot to do with the uncle. And I agree with SR about questioning family involvement in managing one's career. I hope it works for KL and his uncle doesn't totally shaft him or rob him.
No doubt Drake will take KL under his wing to show him around the "6" and befriend him.
Re: NBA
KL left tens of millions on the table. People are complicated, and he's a people.....but all indications are this is a one year rental as he really wants to be in LA. And philosophically, they didn't dip very far into the pool of talent when they promoted Nurse. I think Toronto went into a self imposed holding pattern for a year of assessment.Artemis wrote:I think once the shock wears off from losing DeRozan, fans will realise we got a better player. Re: NBA
Where's Melo going? I think that guys has been on bad fit teams forever. Should have never gone to NY. I don't see it working with the rockets. Off the bench for a good price maybe. Even the Lakers or Portland if it was cheap. We need a cheap scoring forward actually.
Re: NBA
Much like you sold with the C's trade last year, I'm selling on this. I haven't looked at the numbers, but the Lakes will do everything they can to match LeBron and KL...and KL wants to be in LA. Funny, that sets up broader thinking fake fans to root hard for the C's to make the Toronto experiment as unsuccessful as possible. The downside is a core of KL and LJ is pretty scary. Gotta wonder if Luke is eating his Wheaties As for Toronto, the fans are the losers here...bummed for them; they are fantastic
Re: NBA
Just listened to Danny Green's podcast(trying to get to know the new team members) and really enjoyed it. Danny's comments about what he and KL could bring to the Raptors were awesome! Cool that he's already thinking about how he can instill some of their championship knowlede and attitude in the younger Raptors players. I think he's going to be a great fit for the team. I like that he has two Pomskis too..

Re: NBA
Danny Green is a good player and a one of those players that really cares about the community where he plays which is why I was confused about why he was included in this trade.
SR, as the for banner its tradition at this point but I agree on not wanting players to get injured, an ankle sprain or something is one thing but these that can fuck someone's career up are not cool. While I hate the uniform Kyrie is wearing he is one of my favorite players, so I hope he comes back healthy.

Take it to PM's
I don't root for players to get hurt...I just laugh when it happens after shit talk I have heard... we'll maybe post wheelchair Pierce
And it's not like wishing a reign of fire on Ray Allen is gonna result in my happiness if it ever happened...I'm mean not prolonged happiness....one day regret might show her face in my life...while I'll admit, watching Danny Ainge get his jaw knocked off his flappy head would have brought about Nirvana to my younger self...it would have been fleeting....I think
