Yeah man, even through out all the Spurs/Lakers matches thru the years I always respected Timmy and Manu. He made the right choice, the Spurs will likely play well enough because of Pop but yeah without Kawhi they're likely toast this season.kv wrote:Yep..Leonard bailed...he knew that was any hope for this year...good call /salute

Re: NBA
Finally found out today that single game tickets are going on sale on Sept 7th. I have about 4 or 5 games I'm interested to check out- one with the Celtics, Spurs, 76ers, Lakers, Bucks. I'll probable just do 1 or 2. I don't want to spend too much.
Re: NBA
Wager? Well, if you hit the Feb 26 C game...I propose you wear a Celtic hat or t if we beat ya on Oct 19. A posted pic will both verify and further support the humiliation! I have a brand new one as I thought I lost the one my kiddo gave me over a decade ago....
Re: NBA
I got a couple of tickets for the Celtics vs Raptors game on Feb 26/19.
The seats aren't that great, but somewhat reasonable, I guess- $150(CAD) per ticket.
My tickets are section 321, row 13.
The Spurs tickets were too expensive for me. Surprisingly, same with The Lakers game. I guess cuz Lebron is on the team now.
I'll probably get tickets for one more game, will wait and see.

I just looked kings ticket prices since I haven't bought tickets for a while. I have friends with season tickets so I just mooch off them but I was shocked at how high they are.Artemis wrote:I got a couple of tickets for the Celtics vs Raptors game on Feb 26/19.

A comparable seat to the Lakers is $450 each
Toronto $55
Boston $109
Warriors $350
Lebron is not worth paying that much.
Re: NBA
Tickets for the Lakers game on 27th against the Spurs if I were to pay for them would be $1600-2100 which is nuts. But the next section back they're only $250-300 depending on the section so yeah people are willing to pay that much to see him play, I'm not

That's a quality game with some real star power.Artemis wrote:I got a couple of tickets for the Celtics vs Raptors game on Feb 26/19.

Re: NBA
Lakers are at Miami once and it's early in the season. Cheapest tickets are $115 for nosebleed behind the basket. They top off around $750 for the best seats still available. Tickets for Golden State and Boston are both about 25% cheaper.
Re: NBA
Well, I like that you have the C's in the finals.... . As for the math, he's played in 441 games in his carreer of 7 years, or 574 possible games. That puts him at 77% participation in reg season...or injured or DNP'd 23% of the time. Still high, but I think he's going to be fine. Also, his history in the finals is pretty impressive. All joking aside, healthy, I tink he goes through the statosphere this year...the kids put the fuck up last year, GH is back, best coach in the leauge, and he's Kyrie Fucking IrvingJuana wrote:Will he even be in that series? I mean with him being injured 47% of his career and all

Salivating. I think the "the ring or failure" thinking is ridiculous.....it's dismissive of 2nd place team (and others) as well as the champ team. To beat the opponent in a rich meritocracy, which the NBA is, is an awesome thing. But should the C's get to the dubs in the series, a win would reverse gravitational pulls, etc. GS is the best team (whether or not Boogie works out) I have ever seen and inarguably a top 5 in history (likely top 4). I really want this matchup, I think the dubs will be there. But, whomever does from the west will be bloodied, beaten, and in need of rest. Of course, injuries still have me gun shy with the Celtics too. Friday they play preseason....
