I had a feeling Jimmy Butlers knees were about to crumble. A lot of people say why doesn't Jimmy come out with the same force he did in game 1.
Well he has a history of knee problems.

Scott Foster strikes again! They don't call him the extender for nothing...

I kid, I didn't watch the game... did see Boston and Miami were sperated by a single made basket aside from the 38 to 14 in free throws..but again I didn't watch..sometimes teams don't push the paint enough to get foul calls :noclue: just odd foster ref'd games have meant 5-0 for the the C's and 0-2 for the heat...

makes me think of the refs I've always hated tended to be the ones the league says are the best...does more games equal better? It does if you are the NBA...I know the nba would send Crawford to LA whenever we needed one...

the best refs to the league are the ones where the home team wins and we go 7? for a third time I didn't watch it could be just...

There were butt trumpet calls and I'll take every single one of them. We're not in the rarified air of LeBron, Harden, G, and KD live in where they hook and jab elbows but end up at the line every time. It's really unfortunate, but shit calls are as much a part of the game as a Wilson bball and a 10 foot basket. Refs should be required to take q's post game and forced to watch film just like the players. Fuck, I have never seen a player targeted for bs calls more than Theis over a period of years. The Heat didn't have a field goal until just over 2 minutes in the first frame either. C's d was lockdown, and the Heat kinda layed an egg. The vast alternating intensity of this series is unsettling. Never seen it before in a series.

Tatum's choice of pregame threads sportin MJ and Kobe was interesting. Kid has confidence.

Celtics are 8 1/2 point faves tonight. I usually don't look past a team, but I feel fairly confident tonight. Bring it

Thx! I am too. We're looking into plans to travel either to SF or Boston. Nosebleeds are 700+ in SF and just under 700 in Boston. I think a private jet is less  Onward!

538 has C's at 80% to win the chip. ESPN BPI has them as heavy faves. Vegas has Dubs. Either way, this years Champion will be built, not bought for the 2nd year in a row. That's a refreshing trend.

That depends I use XO if you just get seats and not the whole jet it will be about $2k per seat and plane size I think.

I hear some people saying Golden State has had the easy road in these play-offs.
New Jersey was in disarray when Boston played them, the Heat only had one player, and Milwaukee had no Middleton.
Golden State in 6. :pop:

Totally get it. But yet another Laker fan reached out to me today and said he was pulling for the C's. He's hardcore Laker fan from Inglewood, born and raised for 50 years.

I'm impressed you know this, but I was totally kidding. And when I fly, I fly commercial, and in coach  Too much goin on right now; I'll be parked on the couch for this series.

Fuck that....those aren't real laker fans imho...no real laker fan would ever...but people love a bandwagon...I def have seen it with the LeBron fans...as they view it as a LeBron vs curry legacy thing...for me this is the worst possible finals...clippers at least I could route for Boston to lose to an la team...naw fuck the clippers...I don't have real dark clipper hate as they have no rings, they are a never was franchise...but clips c's would still be the worst though lol

As for the soon to be chasing rings lakers...love the vogel fire and ham was who I wanted...we finally made it official today so I got what I wanted...we seem to be keeping Russ which I'm down for since we will be fleeced in any trade at this point....don't strip the future down anymore..I can't wait to see what ham does with these guys...we did this thing last year where we played either Russ or LeBron with the bench when they first come in...like a spark for the bench scoring since we are so thin...I think that was a bad call...because LeBron and Russ suck together...play Russ off the fucking bench...rest LeBron more(I'm sure ham has very diff ideas and the big 3 will be poised to make it work)...two fanged attack...no clue why we never even tried it once other than Russ's perceived fragile ego....fuck egos...ham gives zero fucks...I'm stoked...and playoffless...fuck you sr....and fuck the celtics

Btw strange take incoming...the 2008-2010 Lakers C's era is not covered in legacy mode of the 2k22 NBA video game series...there are no laker teams from that era due to player rights of Ron Artest and Andre Bynum...no kids play those teams vs each other...it's a lost era...kids always say shit like the Lakers C's hasn't mattered since the 70-80s...I see that shit all the time on social media...younger fans, 2010 was 12 years ago...nobody thinks of Kobe and pau...its magics Lakers then Kobe Shaq then LeBron...strange how much pull on a legacy a video game can have

Yeah that was a big deal seeing if Kobe could win a title without Shaq. I remember after Boston beat the lakers in 2008
supposedly Phil Jackson ran into (I think it was Paul Pierce) out and about and Phil told him personally their team wants to
meet you again in the finals next season for some revenge. Everyone I knew who pays attention to basketball
was into those match-ups.

I give the Celtics props for having a 50/1 odds shot at winning the title at the start of the season to where they are sitting right now. Maybe SR's little blankie is good luck.

All championships are bought though... but the Celtics defense has gelled.
