Me too! A few friends have made remarks about my enthusiasm for basketball. One friend said to me" Have you always been so sport-ee?? "

I'm just ready especially after last season showing so much improvement under Luke and with Earvin and Rob helping to try to right the ship.

The Luke show just became an experiment with LeBron's arrival. It'll be interesting to see where his true position will be moving forward.

Yeah but Luke also has the backing of Jeanie, I mean LBJ can get upset or whatever but I think Luke is smart enough to use LBJ where he want's to be. There is no doubt that Rondo and to a lesser extent Lonzo are there so he doesn't have to handle the ball as much as in years past. Also LBJ is saying all the right stuff at least publicly claiming to know there will be struggles as they try to gel.

But you're right that it will be an experiment.

It's not a slam on the lakers…there are maybe a coupla-few places LeBron could be where at least equal authority would be claimed by a coach with brass backing...maybe none. Luke's performance wasn't a slam dunk in year 1....the same questions would have remained without LeBron. I really didn't understand his use of Randle for at least a 1/3'd of the season.

I think Luke saw him as more of a Draymond type of player but he is not as versatile on defense which is why it looked so bad once Luke just let him play his game Randle had pretty good season and honestly even though not a max deal he ended up in a situation where he can play next to AD23 so I think it worked out for Randle to get a max after next season.

Randle's a beast with no ceiling at any given moment when motivated....seemed like Luke was attempting a tear down and rebuild thing with him.....taming the wrong things.

If I'm being honest I hope its Rondo to start the season, nothing against Lonzo but the knee surgeries and knee issues last season make me think he needs to play a 6th man role until he gets stronger then later in the season Lonzo is starting.

Randle needs to continue to work on his conditioning for the role Luke wanted him in. Draymond is the far better defensive player at this point. I do agree that Randle has limitless potential and that missing that first year breaking his leg like 3 mins into the season hurt his development. Also I'm again glad the Lakers FO did him right so he will get a chance to play more and showcase what he can do.

Juana, are you going to the SpursvsRaps game on Jan 3rd? The San Antonio fan reaction to KL's return should be interesting. I hope the fans will take the high road and not boo him.

I might it depends on what Bobby (the dude that works for the Holts) wants to do with the tickets as they will be high in demand no matter what anyone thinks the die hard SAS fans love Kawhi no matter how it ended.

So far these are the ones I'm on the list for tickets and a AT&T Center parking pass

Min (I love KAT) on 17th of Oct
LAL on the 27th Oct
NOLA on 3 Nov is a maybe as I love AD23 but I haven't been given tickets or a AT&T parking pass for this one
GS on 18 Nov
LAL on 7 Dec
GS on St Pattys or somewhere around there

Trying to get Boston on NYE and hopefully I will be able to but beggars can't be choosers.

The Bulls are a young team with players still fighting for a spot on the roster. I feel like they have a solid core though everyone there wants to get better at their game.

I obviously have a respect for the Spurs and its sad (and as a Lakers fan happy) to see Manu hang them up. Dude took a lesser role for the better of his team and was always classy about it.

Yeah man, even through out all the Spurs/Lakers matches thru the years I always respected Timmy and Manu. He made the right choice, the Spurs will likely play well enough because of Pop but yeah without Kawhi they're likely toast this season.

Manu always came to play and never dog'd it. One of my favorite players who wasn't from Chicago.

Finally found out today that single game tickets are going on sale on Sept 7th. I have about 4 or 5 games I'm interested to check out- one with the Celtics, Spurs, 76ers, Lakers, Bucks. I'll probable just do 1 or 2. I don't want to spend too much.

Wager? Well, if you hit the Feb 26 C game...I propose you wear a Celtic hat or t if we beat ya on Oct 19. A posted pic will both verify and further support the humiliation! I have a brand new one as I thought I lost the one my kiddo gave me over a decade ago.... :wiggle:
