The Raptors provided the following injury updates on Thursday:
Marc Gasol sustained a strained left hamstring in the first quarter of play Wednesday, Dec. 18 at Detroit. He was reevaluated on Thursday and it was determined he will be out indefinitely.
With 6:47 to play in the fourth quarter, Pascal Siakam sustained a stretched groin after an awkward landing. He was evaluated Thursday and will be listed as out indefinitely.
Norman Powell left the same game with 3:17 to play in the fourth quarter after a collision with another player. After testing in Toronto on Thursday, it was determined he had sustained a subluxation of the left shoulder. He will also be out indefinitely.

Wow, what a game! Raptors were down by 30 against Dallas then came back to win it! Kyle Lowry and the bench guys were incredible!

Yes, we are doing pretty good so far. Nick Nurse has been awesome with managing the injuries and letting the new guys step up to show what they've got.
Looking forward to the Xmas day game with the Celtics.

Wow, really nice gift, SR!
Hopefully, the Raptors do better tonight against the Cs. The Christmas day game was a bit of a deflation for me..
In unrelated but sort of related news...I just read that Kevin Garnett has some scenes in the movie Uncut Gems. He plays himself.
Thx! It's getting framed now to go up in the office.
You guys brought us back down to earth, for sure. Nurse was such a good hire; he makes Casey easy to forget. The east is really fun this year...unstable and unpredictable. As for the film, I really can't figure out what KG's place in it is, but I'm intrigued.

That is an awesome jersey. I cant wait to see it framed and hanging on the wall.
This is very sad.
I wasn't a fan of his, but he was a competitor like no other.....
Definitely elevated the game.
I've never been in a helicopter, but I don't really trust those things.
Helicopters are weird to fly in, especially small ones. Last time I flew in a helicopter, was a small 4 man copter doing a tour of coastal Maui about 17 years ago with my wife and young son (he was about 5 at the time). It was basically like being in a very small car like a VW Bug, and *very* loud. I was in the front with the pilot and it's unsettling to have a glass canopy all around you, even down under your feet while you're several thousand feet in the air. Very similar to the Hawaii tour copter that crashed barely a month ago.
I'm not a big Kobe/basketball fan but I get this is huge, very sad news especially here in SoCal. My wife and I were in a noisy restaurant for early lunch this morning and as new broke on a big flatscreen tv, the place fell dead silent and you could hear audible gasps. All the major news stations have been broadcasting it all day long non-stop.

I think it was last year that the owner of Leicester FC (an English ‘soccer’ team) left, as usual, on his helicopter from the middle of the pitch after a game, and thee thing crashed in the parking lot. No survivors either.

Sad day for sports.
Shitty loss Kobe and his daughter and then 7 others.
