Live shows in your agenda?
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Just got back from Fishbone. That was a fucking GREAT time.
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Was supposed to see bauhaus this weekend but now that’s cancelled. Bummed- would’ve been cool to them and Jane’s a month apart

Gojira and Airbourne were amazing. Gojira was 9.50/10, a superb show.parklife03 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 19, 2022 10:10 pmGojira
Airbourne
Billy Idol
Alborosie
The Mission
Liam Gallagher
I just added Slipknot, Judas Priest and Mr. Bungle to that list (their current lineup has Scott Ian and Dave Lombardo).
I'm also debating between Prong (October) or Helmet (November). Or both of them. Or none.
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
I can't wait! Will be my 1st time seeing them, I've really dropped the ball with this band as I've been hearing how great they for years now (especially their live show) and have had so many opportunities to see them. They just didn't "click" with me until year or so ago. Now I can't get enough. 3 new albums next month!

Re: Live shows in your agenda?
I’m seeing Mr. Bungle in December. I hope they don’t play their whole las, we need some classics.

Nice!
Oh, and by “las” I meant “last album”. Not sure what happened there.
I they play in Brazil before they do Chile and Argentina, so we’ll have to wait for those shows to hopefully get an idea of what to expect. Right now, I feel like the show could range from absolutely legendary to a complete and utter washout.

By the way, this thread is now over 11 years old. That’s gotta be some sort of internet record for an active forum thread.
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
I thought Mr Bungle was absolutely mind blowing!! …And than they went death metal?..I mean damn!!!?.. Expect the unexpected but?…The First album and than California really showed brilliance!! …I bought their newest album on vinyl and have yet got through it?…Im musically in a different universe from that past blast!! I don’t do Cookie Monster vocals and lazy metal riffs!!!…Guess I’m officially old?…I’ve seen their last few set list and they aren’t doing old songs…Maybe you’ll get lucky Goodbye Sober Day!!!

Margo Price in February

Date night with my son for his 36th Bday to see one of my fav Northern California Bands tonight; Victim's Family.
Damn I feel old. We have a Bday gig tradition. For his 21st I took him to see Suicidal Tenancies at the same small venue.
Because what else do you do on your Bday but go thrash with yo cooler than heck old Mom.
Take care old friends. Happy Holidays.

Took in Afro Bowie celebration of his bday last night in DTLA. Vernon Reid, Angelo, Norwood, Saul Williams, Kamasi, Justin Warfield, and Tony Austin on drums. Just insane. Angelo was such a fit for the Bowie tunes and Saul killed on I'm Afraid of Americans. Everyone had such a good time. Great show

So jealous! Wasn't Chris Dowd from Fishbone in the lineup too? Glad you had a good time, SR.SR wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 8:08 amTook in Afro Bowie celebration of his bday last night in DTLA.
