Saw Stephen Marley again on Friday and it was a great show as usual. We were lucky enough to be in the photo pit between the barrier and the stage. So we got some really great shots and hopefully can upload some of the video we got.

Also his backing band is fucking phenomenal. The only downside of the night was that a bunch of people passed out from heat stroke it was like 95 out and then on stage it was like 20 degrees hotter than that.

Thanks! He and Ziggy do a great job of making sure we're taken care of when they come thru Austin. I will try to upload more pics, the funny thing is the pro photographers that were next to us were impressed with the camera phone pics we got :lolol:

They were fantastic. I was really impressed, they sounded great. We left before the end, I was with a childhood BFF and he's Stage 4 terminal with cancer so he gets tired and when he hits the wall we have to get him home because he gets cranky  (don't take offense, he's the first to admit he does). Roses was a bucket list band for him so I was extra glad we made it.

Caught Beck in Brixton last month. I've seen him a ton of times since '94 and it's great to see that he's back to his best performance wise - definitely had a lull a few years back after some injury or other. The past 2 shows i've seen have been the 2 sides of Beck's musical output... the first was lo-fi Beck, folky stuff from One Foot In The Grave / Stereopathetic etc. The one at Brixton was funk-heavy... more Odelay / Modern Guilt etc.

Both excellent shows.

I, for one, am not a hater. I hemmed and hawed about getting tickets and now regret that I didn't. The reviews for all the shows have been great.

Enjoy!

It was actually a really good show. The band sounded amazing and Ozzy was in pretty good form. He was a little off key in some songs, but mostly he was quite energetic for a senior citizen.
They opened with Black Sabbath.

Saw the Australian Pink Floyd Show the other night at Fox Theater in Oakland.
All the youtube vids are being removed :waits:
They sounded amazing. Great venue for this show.
I've seen them before but my little one hadn't and she is intrigued with PF so the tix
were a b-day gift in early spring and we finally got to go.

We'll be going to Jane's Addiction again this month in SF. Luckily we won't have to fight self entitled
hipsters for a place on the floor this time- got reserved seats.

My kid actually gets extra credit in band at school
for going to shows, showing the ticket stub and writing a review. :thumb:
The teacher is going to know all of our musical tastes by the end of the school year! lol

We've got some musical theater on the agenda as well.
Beautiful - The Carol King Musical (I can't wait for this!)
The Fantastics
Also hoping to score tickets to Hamilton that will be in town early next year.

Oct 1 Warrior Soul and Sebastian Bach at Mulcahy's which is one stop on the train from me on Long Island. I'm a 10 minute walk from the station, 90 second train ride and the bar is outside the train station. This night is going to be ridiculous

Roger Waters will be playing for free at our main square. I really hope it will be broadcasted online since I think it will be impossible for me to go on Sunday. For Paul McCartney it was full, so I'm guessing it will be like that for RW. I've only been once to these square shows and almost got crushed to death, I was still in my 20s, so not looking forward to this in my 40s. Maybe only for someone like Manu Chao.
