sounds like something is wrong on your end and not a site problem. try another browser....sounds like you may have some spyware issue or some weird add-on doing something.

everything for me looks good. :noclue:

Yup, that's a classic sign of spyware. Run an anti-spyware and anti-virus, man.

I'd recommend Malwarebytes for that.

I use a Malwarebytes + NOD32 combo for my OS and a NoScript + AdBlock Plus combo for my browser and I haven't had issues with spyware or viruses in at least 3 years.

At work, I spilled a bit of water on my keyboard and I have had to use a plug in keyboard as I about 5 keys are not working. This and the spyware .... maybe a new laptop?

I've been using just Windows Defender with Windows 8.1 since it apparently does free spyware and virus protection. Adblock+ helps. I keep Malwarebytes Antimalware around just in case. I was tired of the other free options showing false positives constantly, and locking down shit that didn't need to be locked down. If you're infected with some Russian or Chinese botnet shit, you're infected with it, and it's unlikely that any antivirus program will actually handle current shit all that well.

Also, I hate how locked down so many new laptops are... I just set up a new ASUS for someone, and was surprised to discover that they HIDE the freaking BIOS from the end user, with no easy way to get into SAFE MODE... so I had issues doing a shit-ton of Windows Updates and had no way of fixing it except the stupid factory-installed recovery drive that didn't do anything. But I understand why they're going in this direction... computers at this point really should just work... software/hardware engineers are good enough that they should be able to avoid shit like this. And you really shouldn't have to worry about passwords or spyware anymore... the OS and browser should protect you. They don't... but they are trying to go in that direction.

I want... to know why my already threads are no longer clearing when I visit the "unread posts" forum link. Started a couple days ago... did a setting change on the board, or did I unwittingly change something that disabled this feature...

i haven't touched the board in forever and i'm sure hoka hasn't either. i'll clear the cache on the board but i have no idea if that will do anything. :noclue:

i found the best way to keep this board running is to never touch it. xiola seemed to crash a lot mainly because sonny fucked with it so much i think.

It's most likely on my end, especially if the feature is working for others. Thanks for the reply, Creep.
