That's awesome creep. Thanks. I would love to see that whole lineup. Of course FNM and Killing Joke and it would awesome to see L7, & Scorpions would be interesting, they have to be old!

I think you are right about the timing. Nantes, FR is 9 hrs ahead PST, but their clock has the show starting sooner than L7 on stage.

That was "Autonomous Zone" and it is a new track from the upcoming album. Sounded a lot better on this broadcast (not just because it was pro-shot) than the performance last week at the Metal Hammer awards gig.

I think they edited a few songs out of the broadcast, including Love Like Blood and Death And Resurrection Show.

I have a feeling this is going to be a good powerful track in the studio.

I like it live, can't say that for many of their other newer tracks.

From someone who has heard probably the entire new album:

"What can i tell you?

From my perspective, I always have to listen to a new KJ a few times to get it. I didn't like 2003 at first - took me a while to love it.
And this is a little bit the same for me beacuse it is rather different.
The production and mixing is excellent - very clear sound. Tom Dalgety (producer) has been doing it (Royal Blood, Turbowolf) and he's done a good job.
First thing to notice is the drums. Big Paul is really on fire. Very very tribal. Some superb tom tom work. I felt that he was a bit timid on Absolute dissent due to the fact it was jammed out more, this album isn't and he lifts it.
Vocals are good. Jaz in fine voice. A real mixture. Some sotfer singing, some shouting and some nicely balanced growling. Guitars. Geordie's sound has evolved and there is a heavy metal tone to some tracks and then classic Geordie on others.
Beware, there are chuggers - specially for Chapman. If I could relate it to another album, I'm going to say Hosannas. Now that will scare some of you but don't be. Hosannas was muddy. This isn't, it's crisp and light and direct. Couple of songs are too long in my opinion but that's my preferences. Stand out for me are I am the Virus, Big Buzz and Euphoria.

I think it will be a grower and, as i said, I havent heard it in order and the sequence makes a huge difference to how the album will sound and be perceived,

I'm sure it will raise eyebrows and provoke debate."

That review actually gets me really excited.

I really like the atmosphere of many of the tracks from Hosannas, just not a complete album and recording was muddled.

Wow, this is going to be great.

To the surprise of no one, Jaz's spoken word North America tour canceled:

"It is with great regret and a heavy heart that we have had to cancel the upcoming “Letters From Cythera” Jaz Coleman spoken word tour. Sadly Jaz’ visa has been subject to delays in processing and in all good conscience we just could not leave it until the eleventh hour to make the call. Jaz would like to send sincere apologies to fans and concert promoters, thanking you all for your loyal support and make it clear that this issue will in no way affect events in the future. All planned KJ shows are going ahead as planned."

Once again, this is why I don't buy tickets for anything these guys do well in advance.

I didn't buy tickets yet either, so whatever.

Also, I have a soccer game that night anyways, so works for me!

The sucky thing about this release is there's going to be two different CD and two different vinyl iterations that will reportedly contain a few different exclusive tracks between them so unless you buy all four versions, you won't have all the tunes.

They've released the first single "I Am The Virus" on the usual sites for download, etc. Obvious meant to ruffle some feathers releasing the song *on* yesterday's 9/11 anniversary which includes some references to paranoid 9/11 conspiracy theories. Decent track but the sound quality isn't very good, (hopefully not a sign of the production) and the tune kind of reminds me of "Corporate Elect" off the last album:

Also, the have a Pledge Music page to pick up bundles of the various CD/Vinyl versions w/shirts, posters and so on, all which unfortunately have slight variations in the track lists making it expensive to get all the songs.

I believe fans will be able to get the CD and Vinyl configurations from sellers like What Records and Amazon as well while supplies last. Certainly downloading or the deluxe CD might be the best option.

Hmmm, not as excited about this track as Autonomous Zone. Yeah, production has to be honed in order for me to listen to that more than a couple times.

I really liked the progression of their last couple albums from the furious warning of Absolute Dissent to the more post apoplectic MMXII. This track seems to muddle into some shallow waters.

I liked the resigned dissipation and separation expressed in Autonomous Zone, maybe this Virus song will be an outlier.

US tour confirmed for early 2016 starting in early Feb. Opening band most shows will be Soft Moon. All typical small theater size venues with tickets around $25.

Heh, it's always a 50/50 chance of that happening with these guys especially considering they're touring during the dead of Winter, especially on the East Coast.

Very happy California and notably LA is in the middle of the tour with a day’s prior break and not the final stop on the tour (when the band are usually burned out) as has been the case on most previous US tours. Also interesting they are playing the intimate (and GA) Regent Theater which is literally right around the corner from Skid Row in downtown LA.

Regarding the set, hopefully a good slice of the new album plus more cuts from MMXII (they only played Corporate Elect on the last US tour) and the dumping of "Asteroid" in favor of ....just about anything else in their vast catalog.
