That woman has an incredibly retarded-sounding voice.

Reminded me of this:

 I'd say she's a guilty pleasure, but she isn't... I don't enjoy it.

I do like this a lot:

So that counts I guess.

the wife left this CD in the car. This song is the perfect synth pop song. I listened to it about 6 times on repeat on the way into work this morning.

when I was about ten I could really trip my head out to that song. We were on a holiday in Morocco around that time and I had my big brother ask for a tape with A-ha on every market we went to. With no luck of course.
it's a very high quality pop song. Chris Martin from Coldplay is a big fan and use A-ha for inspiration

Agreed. I actually really liked their first album, but now they're incredibly dull and mainstream.

I liked a lot of their stuff up through the "X and Y" album but I made the mistake of finally seeing them live that tour in '05 (taking my wife on our anniversary no less) and they just bored the fuck outta us. It's hard to explain, but they're like the REO Speedwagon of Britpop/alternative, it's all been done better before and it was almost embarrassing to watch them ape bands like U2 so blatantly. Its funny, wife won't go for anything that rocks harder than U2 and she wanted to leave before the encore.

My Ex's brother in law did a lot of the graphics in that video.

I'm not sure if I said it in this thread but....
Janet Jackson is my guilty pleasure. Oddly I know most of the lyrics to her songs even though I do not own any of her CD's. And if I hear one of her songs, no matter where I am, I have to dance.

And Frank Sinatra, though I do own most of his collection. I love me some Frankie!!

I love the new Madonna song - Living for Love.
Didn't like it at first, but it's really grown on me. It's very catchy. Reminds me a little of Fitz and the Tantrums.

I actually just saw this thread again, funny this would be a guilty pleasure. Charlie Robison was married to Emily from the Dixie Chicks for a while, my buddy plays guitar in his touring band but this song has been a guilty pleasure of mine as of late.

Good, solid country. The fiddle reminds me a ton of old Jackson Browne (Late for the Sky, Jackson Browne ((Saturate Before Using)), and For Everyman). I've recently bugged his old bassist Leland Sklar about that touring band on FB.....some old time blue grass/country/folk players there who've played with Dylan, Ry Cooder, and so many more. David Lindley.....known for this

, but is a remarkably accomplished guitar and string player. He's amassed an amazing array of string instruments from all over the world. Seeing him a few years ago, he also pleasantly surprised with an acerbic wit foiled by an overall mellow joy that was palpable.

Here's some good things happening.
