Wimbeldon Men's Final
Milos Raonic vs Andy Murray
Should be a classic match!
I know the favourite is Andy Murray, but we shall soon find out.

Re: The Tennis thread
Well,a disappointing final for Raonic, but congrats to him for doing so well. He just couldn't challenge Murray today.
Re: The Tennis thread
Is anyone watching the US Open?
Andy Murray is out!
Beaten by this guy Kei Nishikori.
Sixth seed Nishikori goes on to face Juan Martin del Potro or Stan Wawrinka.

Yeah, it wasn't a dig. It amused me somewhat.

Raonic vs Federer again on Wednesday for the quarter-final

Missed more of Wimbledon than I would have liked this year, but I did catch the Federer annihilation in the Finals......and this....very cool.

Re: The Tennis thread
Is Federer the goat or what? His competition wasn't all that great for about the first ten years he racked up a lot of his victories. Andy Roddick was his toughest competitor.
I realize you can only beat whoever they put in front of you, but once Nadal and Djokovic came along Federer wasn't quite as impressive. Don't get me wrong I am a fan of his.

Nick Kyrgios has a tantrum. He was upset with spectators talking and yelling while he was tryin to serve.

Bianca!
Down one set and frustrated throughout much of the night, the 19-year-old from Mississauga, Ont., seeded 15th, was nonetheless able to compose herself under the bright lights, battling back against the No. 25 seed Mertens to win a gruelling three-set match, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3. The match lasted two hours and one minute.
Andreescu is now the second Canadian to ever advance to the U.S. Open semifinals — after Carling Bassett in 1984 — and the fourth woman in history to reach the semifinals in her Open debut. Andreescu will play the No. 13-ranked Swiss tennis player Belinda Bencic in Thursday night's semifinal.
Re: The Tennis thread
WOW! Bianca Andreescu won and made history as the 1st woman to ever win the US Open in her first appearance in the Tournament. She’s 19, Canadian, and on fire. Amazing match. The crowd was against her but she tuned them out and stayed disciplined.
