Not too bad a song I think, but a far cry from the Adore stuff for instance

Solara sounds a lot better played live. BTW, who's the 3rd guitarist and bass player?

I like how they make the bass player play behind everyone in the dark. Poor guy.

3rd guitar player is Jeff Schroeder.

He's been Iha's replacement in the band since Zeitgeist.

Bass player is Jack Bates. He's Peter Hook's son.

They played a surprise warm-up show last night in Hollywood at the Troubadour club. Set looks pretty solid. The few vids are pretty crappy but the band appeared solid.

Pretty funny clip of Pumpkins covering Joy Division's Love Will Tear Us Apart with a typically hammered Courtney Love, Peter Hook and Davey Havok. Apparently this was a pretty unusual, no-frills show with lots of guests that included songs they either haven't played in a while (Snail, Bodies) and first-time covers including Hole's Celebrity Skin and Malibu (with Courtney) and Judas Priest' Breaking The Law(!)

She'll be in the dead celeb thread soon. Painful to watch...she might be simpathetic if she wasn't CL.

This is beyond atrocious. Really.

I wouldn't expect anything more...or anything at all, from CL. And she met that zero expectation. Just.
Corgi is an utter joke. Insert Uncle Fester quip. It's pathetic.
What's worse that both of the above is Hooky's insistence (of trying) to cash in on the JD legacy - this only detracts from it, and there is no payday for him (which is his only driver, at this point in time).

What a cluster.

What's up with the shorts?

People should not be allowed to wear shorts onstage.

Ok, Billy looks silly as well, but at least he's not wearing shorts. Least rock n roll thing ever.

Funny how embarrassed Billy was when CL grabbed his dick

Maybe her insides are a gelatinous pickled glob of goop now? No organs, just a semi solid substance feeding her brain?

Who would have thought 25 years ago that Courtney would come out looking on top

I was at the tour opener in AZ, and while it was a REALLY great show, the thing that bothered me was that it was a massive masturbatory exercise by Billy. Every picture on the screens was him. He kept going up to this tall riser behind the band to lord over the rest of them.

It was basically just Billy taking his last opportunity to play arenas to let EVERYONE know that he IS The Smashing Pumpkins.

Go for the music, but try not to cringe too hard while he spends the whole show visually patting himself on that back. :noclue:

This is why I remain on the fence about the KC show Thursday. I want to see them but I really don't want to pay Billy's ego to watch a slideshow of his personal photos. Two years ago in NOLA they sounded great but Corgan couldn't get past the lackluster crowd and insisted on bitching about it. Also, this show is at the Sprint Center and I hate indoor arenas.

Decisions.

I'd say don't go.

They were good in 1994. It's 2018. Let bygones be bygones

Like hell she did. You found the worst possible pics of the others and the best possible of Courtney. She generally looks like a plastic surgery nightmare, and is still a drunken trainwreck.

Yeah, I’m too lazy to go snooping for any, but there are some pretty horrific photos of Courtney from the last decade.
