Talking about Nothing's Shocking this Sunday in DC

#1 Post by CaseyContrarian » Wed Aug 08, 2018 7:41 am

I sometimes give talks at a local record store/cafe/venue in DC as part of a global series called Classic Album Sundays. For this edition, I've been tapped to discuss Nothing's Shocking. If you happen to be in the area, come on by!

Interesting. Maybe I should know this, but why were you selected to do this?

Oh, I was a music writer for a bunch of my life, and have worked in the music industry the whole time. I have a couple of books coming out in 2019... the first one is on William S. Burroughs and musicians — https://www.rocknrollburroughs.com/ — and then a book on music copyright.

I have done a handful of talks in this series. Jane's came up and the organizers asked if I'd do it.

Would be cool if you could record it and post it for us fans. Would love to hear what you have to say....

I'm actually a copyright lawyer (in addition to being a Jane's fan) and would love to hear more about your book.

Yeah really, since we're all lawyers here can we all get a free copy?
